We live in Lanett, but have family in Valley - my DIL is the Vet in Valley at Riverside. :)

That's so cool. My boss lady stays in Valley when she is working over at the Kia plant. She said it is really a nice town. I know where Lanett is. All of that is very close to where I got Mandie. I got her in Lafayette

Mandie's breeder lives in Lafayette? I might know them but not as breeders. I don't know anyone that breeds Yorkies, other than the two the hubs got our 3 from and that was after the fact. ;)

No, they weren't her breeders. They actually got her from a breeder in northern alabama (who I am pretty sure was probably a byb because I cannot find info on the name on some of the papers they gave me). Anyway, they had another Yorkie that was a little bigger than Mandie and a month older. They ended up thinking Mandie was what they called "teacup" and said, "we wanted a regular Yorkie" and then their work schedules had changed and they were scared to leave her for long periods because she was so small (she was 4.5 months and 3 lbs 10 oz when I got her).

Today, she was weighed before surgery and she is 6 lbs. Their loss. I am so blessed to have found my Mandie when I did :)

Okay, everyone - I think I've got just about everything done that I can get done. Well, until Fri night/Sat morn....

I'm so excited!! It's going to be a relatively small group but that just means we can all really get to know each other and hopefully we will grow our group for the next one :)

Woohoo!! 5 more days!!! :D

I sure wish we could join y'all tomorrow, but we'll be there in spirit! DH and I have tried to ease the boys into longer road trips, but it is going to be a long while, if ever, for Neo to acclimate without undue anxiety.:( God forbid if we ever have to evacuate during storm season! Ugh!:eek:

Terri wish I could join you all. Maybe next year. I had a spinal epidural this week for herniated discs. I have had two surgeries in two years for this problem (last one in Nov. 2012) and still having problems. Riding doesnt agree with me right now. Have a ball yall and think of me.

I wish I lived in Alabama. I live in arizona and theres litteraly like no yorkies here. I have only seen 3 and that is counting my 2. LOL. But I want to breed my female with my male. To get Yorkies popular out here in Az, like it is out there. To let people love them the way I LOVE THEM!!

Hi and welcome to YT! There are several members here on YT that live in AZ. Our moderator, Wylie's Mom, lives there. :)

I definitely would not recommend trying to breed this little breed if you are not experienced in breeding. I think they are more popular than you might think though ;)

And she is blessed to have such a fabulous Yorkie mom! ;)

All of us that can't make this meet up will have to enjoy it vicariously through your photos, so take a lot!!! :D

Mom & I made it safe and sound! We are at the La Quinta in Millbrook. Very clean, spacious rooms, and pets stay for free! The girls are resting while mom and I wind down. So excited for tomorrow! :)

Mom and I are both wearing something I sewed especially for the occasion. It's not dressy but its not sweatpants. Lol. We did the sweatpants thing on the way down. And the girls have new outfits. ;)
