my baron baby has passed.
 

yesterday morning we woke to baron struggling to breath I searched to see if he got into anything but I puppy proofed. I called my vet and they were closed til 8am so I called the emergency line they said to wait til vet opens. so when I arrived nobody was there they never opened. I was so mad but I found a vet open. they did xray atrophyne steroids antibiotics. and we waited but he got worse. we had to made the most difficult decision to put him to peace. his lungs filled with fluid not sure why on Friday he was so full of energy and happy we had no warning. I am devastated RIP baron Von munchkintoes :confused:

he would of been 4 months on 27th of this month.

I'm so sorry to hear about your poor little Baron. He was so young! Did your vet have any idea as to what caused this to happen to such a young puppy?

OMG!!! I am sooooooooo sorry for your loss of precious little Baron. He was just a baby and for whatever reason, he was denied his entire life that his loving family had planned and expected for him. Please, through your grief, there are a couple of things you must do. Please have an autopsy done on that baby....you HAVE to have the reason for this tragedy. Second, you must contact your breeder....she has to be alerted to this. If she is ANY kind of a breeder, she will stand by you, cry with you....THAT WAS HER BABY TOO, SHE HAS TO CARE ABOUT THAT LITTLE SOUL. In addition, she needs to be kept appraised of what happened to that baby so she can factor that early death into her breeding program. Also, hopefully you have a contract with that breeder that directs you what to do in the event something happens to that baby. She may be in a position because of this death, to assist you not only with a refund on the cost of that baby, but also getting another baby, if the circumstance warrants. I am sooooooo sorry....this baby left way toooooo young. You HAVE to know if this was genetic or if that baby managed to get into something obscure and missed......what about vaccinations? Had Baron just received any vaccinations?

he had all vaccines except rabies. can't do autopsy he was cremated Saturday. as I didn't know I had to do one I still owe $500 on him she won't give me raplacement or refund.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss I know the pain of having to let a little one go. I agree that you should let your breeder know but I have to say I would have some angry words for the emergency clinic that told you to wait for the vet to open up. you will be in my prayers. :(

Verbal in the event he passes as long as its nothing I did he would be replaced but only after autopsy which I didn't know any of this til after its something she will do I did not do my homework on agreements or even to ask about it I bought him on payments due to him not show quality his mom was ten pounds he passed at almost 6 pounds his only fault. Which It didn't matter he was my baby boy yes I have Sadie still whom I love and adore but she seems depressed and so are the rest of us.

Does your vet have ANY idea what it may have been? If he could even make a professional educated guess about what had happened to that baby, maybe at the VERY least, she could be shamed into forgiving the last 500.00. If she was any kind of breeder at all, with even an ounce of ethics, not to mention compassion and empathy, she would replace the pup, FREE OF CHARGE and forget the last 500.00. WHO is the breeder? Perhaps if SHE knew the Yorkie world was aware of her cold hearted attitude as well as one of her babies dying at such an early age, which could clearly indicate a genetic issue in her dogs, she may try to make this right for you.....at least refund your money. (I am not sure I would take another of her dogs...)

I totally agree with yorkiemom1 - this breeder should (at the very least) forgive the debt of the remaining $500. What is this breeder's name?
