| At the pet stores they have this stuff in a can you squirt into Kong toys. It's a flavor paste treat made especially for those types of Kongs. Schatzie goes nuts over it...

| i'll try cheese wiz! and see how it works. the kong stuffing they have, i only saw pb flavored and liver flavored, both of which are not on bunjee's "must have" list. do they have a cheese flavored stuffing? for those of you who use kong toys, does your puppy enjoy digging the stuffing outta the toy? i don't know if it's the pb, or just that my pup doesn't like to do the work of getting the food outta the toy... he'll try for like 15 mins and then quit. i guess he's more into immediate gratification, just like his mommy. |

| You can put yoqurt in it and freeze it.

15 minutes is quite a long time to stay focused on a Kong really. I'm guessing that they have the attention span of a child and just loose interest. LOL about "immediate gratification"...

| I usually fill Joey's kongs with canned dog food and then freeze it so that it takes him longer to get it out. Alternately, I fill it with dry dog food with little pieces of cheese mixed in and cheese to cover the larger hole. Nuke it to melt cheese and let cool to harden cheese. Sliced processed cheese ends up especially hard this way which means it takes longer for him to get it out. I prefer that he get less people food and more dog food in it, but that's just me. |

| i think i might be slightly confused about how the kong works. i got the small breed puppy version: blue and white and rubbery is he suppose to be able to A. chew on the entire kong hard enough to squeeze the filling out? B. wait for the frozen filling to melt and slowly lick it out? C. somehow contort his tongue enough to scoop the filling out? D. something else all together? right now bunjee's mouth and bite is not big or strong enough to do A. he doesn't have the patience to complete B without leaving it to melt into a mess. so what i do is losely pack the kong with kibble, partially close it with PB on the end (the bigger hole) so he'll scoop out a little of the PB with kibble stuck to it, then shake it like he does with his toys so that the kibbles fall out and he can munch. is this how it's suppose to work? or is he just too young for a kong? |

| I believe that the stated method is A - chew on the Kong to squeeze the filling out. Joey usually does D, however. He picks it up and throws it so that little bits fall out which he licks up. Then he throws it again. The real purpose, though, is entertainment/distraction whichever way they choose to get at the goodies! |

| that sounds like how bunjee does it too, except he shakes the kong. i just have to help him out a little in the beginning 'cause he can't get pass the initial stopper of pb. i'm going to switch the stopper to cheese or yogurt and see if it works better for him. thanx everyone! |

| i got edgar a stick shaped kong. wound up getting him the red one. then i spread pb all over it, esp into the grooves. sometimes i freeze it. i leave it for him in the bathroom tub while i'm gone and he'll still play w/it after all the pb has been licked off. my reason for the shape is that i want to make sure i can clean that thing. i have also seen suggestions of soaking it in broths and freezing it, then giving it to them. i may try that but i'm not sure how much messier that is than the pb. hope that helps |

| I thought I was the only one who was having trouble understanding the whole kong thing . My question is, how full do you pack the kong? I was just putting a few pieces of kibble in it and Nikko would empty it out pretty quickly. As for the peanut butter, do you put it all the way in? I was just lining the rim of it with peanut butter. I guess I was doing it all wrong.
