Oh my this is so sad. 4 weeks old!!!! |
Welcome! As the previous posts have indicated you have some issues ahead of you. The folks on YT are very experienced. |
Welcome to YT |
Please tell me you mean 4 months. Four weeks is way to young and he should very much still be with his mom and siblings. Also in most states its against the law to sell puppies before 6 weeks so please please report who sold your husband this dog. Does he even have teeth? |
Hi and welcome to Yorkie Talk. I have no advice because I didn`t even see my pup until she was 5 weeks old. I know it`s early but I brought mine home at 9 weeks. Just be careful and make sure she eats often. Give her some nutrical between meals to keep her blood sugar up. I think that is the most important thing right now. |
EEEEKKK! Please please tell us you meant 4 Months, not 4 weeks. This baby should still be with his momma and siblings until at least 12 weeks old. He's way too young to be away from momma. Please take him back to the breeder...sorry I know not what you wanted to hear, but they do best when left with their momma until at least that age. How much does he weigh? Sorry for the rant...welcome to YT. |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk. I am not going to say anymore about the age issue, other have already covered that. |
Hi and Welcome to YT! |
Please say 4 months. I have never heard of getting a puppy at 4 weeks! |
Welcome to YT. What is your baby's name? We love to see pictures. I didn't even realize how important food was until recently, I thought they were all at least healthy but they aren't. if you google 'what is the best food for yorkie puppy' results from this website will come up. after reading those, I only found Sick Vann Pattern Natural Balance in my area. I hope you come back and post, your baby is really very young to leave its mom and because the people on YT are all here for the love of yorkies, they will be concerned. But this is the place you want to be because you will get help on so many things and everyone only wants the absolute best for every single yorkie. I hope you come back. |

There is someone at home with him that can keep an eye on him? He is so very young and a tiny one as well. Is there any way you can take him back to the breeder for 5 more weeks? Idealy a good breeder will not let their babies go until 12 weeks or later if they are really small. My baby is now 8wks and 2lbs...she is still with her momma and two brothers. |

Just keep a real close eye on him, its good you are home with him...not good to leave them alone for any amount of time when they are that young. I'm not sure what the vaccination protocol is, but give all shots separately as they can have a reaction to giving too many at one time. Has he been to the vet yet? If not try and find a vet that has experience with small breeds. My Jersey is being taken to the vet this week for her first shots. so i think first shots are at 8wks. How much does Snappy weigh now? Jersey is 2lbs. |

How many yorkies do u have?? |
Just wanted to welcome you to YT! Congrats on your new addition! |
First welcome to YT. Second be prepared for anything. My sis-in-law got her puppy at almost 8 weeks and it ended up with me to pull it through. I am not a breeder, don't want to be, never will be, but I have yorkies so I was elected. I cannot tell you how many sleepless nights I sat up with this little girl. Grinding kibble in a coffee grinder, mixing it with water and baby food, forcing it down her with a syringe, and the same with water. She went through bout after bout of very loose stools etc. She came home with coccidia and it was very touch and go for almost 3 weeks. I hope things go much better for you and your little one just be prepared for anything and have the vet on speed dial. They are a joy to be owned by. |

Jersey makes number three. Raelle and Orion are 17mths and 14mths. Jersey was picked because of her coloring, she is a Biewer and is mostly black and white, with some gold. There is a thread here that i posted called 'Jersey' |
