Spay/Neuter
 
Oh well this is the week Abby and Riley have their surgery.
Riley on Thursday and Abby on Friday.

They have their kiss e collars and are ready.

Mom is feeling very anxious. Its only Monday and already I feel sick.

I will be praying for both of them and you. Me and my mom cried when we had to leave Callie for her spay but she did fine.

My two boys are at the vet getting neutered today! They are also having a couple of puppy teeth pulled and getting microchipped. I would like to try to spoil them a little extra today, but they get spoiled everyday, so don't know what I would do differently. I'm a little anxious as well, but my vet is great so I know they are in good hands. Don't fret too much, they will be fine!

Just got the follow up call from the vet...boys did fine witht their sugery!! Had 20 baby teeth pulled, that was a major surprise!! He said most would have come out anyway, but took them out to be on the safe side. They are 6 mo old, how old are your babies?

It's never easy to bring our little ones in for surgery. Keep yourself busy. Your kiddies will do great. :)

i am getting ready to think bout spaying Lola. She is 5 months, I am looking into a clinic nearby and not my vet (the cost is very high with him and i am not sure if this is covered by PetPlan?)

What are kiss e collars?? Annie gets spayed in November and sounds like something I should have.

I have petplan for Abby and they said no it is considered to be routine

I believe it is mom to hot rod that sells them. Try looking in the for sale section. They are soft head cones instead of the hard plastic ones they give you at the vet.

They did say that possibly the teeth would be covered. It would depend on certain things. Probably not though. lol. I think she needs 3 or 4 teeth taken out as well.

Glad everything went ok. I know it is routine but you can't help but worry.

Oh sweetie I was in your shoes last week! Bambi got spayed, 5 teeth pulled and microchipped last Friday and I was so sick with fear. Today she went back to have her stitches checked and all is going well, but I have to be honest she was in pain all weekend and today. I expected her to be sore but she was way worse than Bijou was, and she has pain medicine with an anti inflammatory in it and a pain medicine that's a sedative as well. Now tonight she was trying to run and play with Bijou so that tells you how quickly they bounce back. She doesnt get her stitches out for two weeks so no playing is gonna be a hard one. There is really nothing I can say that can convince you that she'll be ok so I'll just offer my thoughts and prayers to you both. Hugs

Will definitely be keeping Abby and Riley in my thoughts and prayers. They will be just fine and back to their ol' selves in no time. It's good that you are having them so close together as they can rest together.

It's hard on us moms but they will be just fine. :)
