I'm sorry you are having these issues. I will say that I followed your original thread with interest because at one time I wanted one of Glenda's dogs. Her site is still in my favorites on my computer and I loved her photo's and one day dreamed of having one of her dogs. But when the whole pet store story came out, I just couldn't in good conscience purchase a dog from her. I also will say that I think $1250 is a pretty low price for a show quality dog. I wish you lots of luck with your baby and I'm sorry things did not work out for you. |

[QUOTE=capt_noonie;3629068]You really remind me of someone..... I have read all your posts, so I do know "what the flavor of the Kool Aid is". You already know what you wanna do, so go ahead and do it. So you have some people PMing you all these mentors' names, how do you know they are trustworthy? Why don't you go to shows and meet people in person instead of having total strangers tell you who they think would be a good mentor? I'm so done with this one too. Good luck with showing and all. Win those blue ribbons. xoxo, Sparky[/QUOTEin Your very right.....Mentor's don't offer their services to just anyone. They look into an individual's heart before they agree on being a mentor......it takes a long while before a relationship is built.....Most that are looking for mentors do a lot of research before approaching a breeder to mentor them. And then they brace themselves for their answer.....because the good ones are very selective on who they mentor.....they watch the potential pupil for a long time before giving their answer. |
I have some new information i just found on the web i wanted to share with all of you and i sure wish i would have seen thing before!!!! go all the way to bottom off the page and read about Darla OMG Frenchies - Big Time Pets and i was told all she worked with or breed or anything was yorkies??? |
obviously that's a red flag...once again. |
I did not read all the replies so not sure if anyone has mentioned this already... If I were you I would take your dog to your vet and get a vet document on the condition of the dog. I would also report this breeder to AKC and to her local animal control and get an inspection done of her place and her dogs. I would do a complaint to the the Attorney General and the Better Business bureau. I would find out if she is licensed through her state (not sure if Oklahoma kennels/breeders have to be state licensed... I know I had to be, I'm in Illinois) and contact/report her there. ...That will be through the state's agriculture department. Then I would find out if she is Federally licensed and report her there. It sounds like she took a different dog to the vet for the health certificate than the one she shipped to you.. it wouldn't surprise me one bit! |
