| Is your Yorkie a Winter Dog or a Summer Dog? Jackson is what I'd call a winter dog. I'm pretty sure it's his favorite season. He absolutely adores the snow... when the first flakes begin falling, oh my, he runs around like a "freak on a leash!" and just gets sooo super excited. I really think he'd spend all day out in the snow if he could. He does get cold after about 30 minutes (when it's below 25 degrees or so) so I keep his jacket on him so he can last longer periods of time. But even when he's cold, he usually still wants to keep going. I mean, I'd say he 'appreciates' all seasons, in reality. He adores his swimming pool time in the summer as he's obsessed with water but I'd say that's the only thing he likes about summer. If it's too hot, he doesn't want to walk or do much of anything. He gets so bored and restless in the summer but I find there's not much to do w/ him. Fall is awesome because the heat dies down and that's when we usually spend most of our time at the dog park or on long walks. And then Spring is always fun because there does come a point where the cold is just TOO much and so those first Spring days, he's always really excited too. But LOL, in conclusion... I'd say winter is Jackson's fav. Fall is mine

| I have one of each . . . Brody loves the heat of Summer, loves bathing in the sun hours on end . . .as soon as the change of Season to Fall starts he starts the shiver move . . . Rhianna is my Winter baby . . .loves the cold and snow and I know she just loathes the Summer . . .she melts in heat . . .stays on the cool tile floor and away from the sun . . . Me, I'm also a Fall person . . .love the changing leaves and the crisp air . .and all of the Holidays . . I think I feel most alive in the Fall . . .I hate Summer, the humidity and heat, so I just hang out in the a/c as much as possible, don't care too much to go in the pool at all . . .and Winter, forget it . . .I hate the snow and ice and having to drive to work . . .Spring is ok, the weather is transforming . . but I hate mosquitos and bees and things.

| My Yorkie Jax is a winter dog, I think because he was born in October and I housetrained him in December-Feb. He would stick his face in the snow and get a snow beard, it was so cute! The cold didn't seem to bother him at all. Once he even peed in snow that was up to his belly! Even now he always likes to lie on the cool hardwood floors, often in front of the AC vent. My Toy Fox terrier, on the other hand, loves the heat and will go outside to sunbathe up until the 90's or so, when she lies in the shade instead. When the heat is on, she always lies in front of the vent. It's funny how dogs' tolerance for heat/cold can vary so much. |

| I would say Lucy is neither. She hates the HOT and the COLD. So, she's a 'spring and fall' dog. Ringo would be more of a winter dog. He doesn't mind walking in frigid temps but I notice that the heat slows him down.

| Ellie hates winter. She gets too cold in <5 minutes. She doesn't mind spring. She likes summer, but gets hot. Loves to sun herself by a window inside. Her favorite is fall. She loves to play in the leaves.

| Max & Teddy are like me: their favorite weather is a perfect 70-degrees. They both love snow, but Teddy gets cold easily. Neither one likes cold winds blowing at their little rear ends. Neither one likes heat and humidity. ETA: Max will go out in the pouring rain, but Teddy doesn't like it.

| I think Callie likes fall and spring the best mostly fall but she will spend a lot of time outside in the winter too as long as its not to freezing cold (30 or so) and she has a sweater on. she will spend some time outside in the summer but not very long, when the house gets to cold for her she loves to go lay in the sun.

| We live in Fl. All mine do better in the heat than I do. They will sun bathe and play in the yard. Rubin will stay on the screen porch, even when it is in the 90s ! Ginny Joy lays on the AC vent when she comes in from playing. Maybe because they have lived here all their life ? Rubin and Gracie refuse to go out when it is raining. And they hate the chilly damp days of Jan. |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Joey definitely like heat better than cold, but it's too darn hot here in the summer for Joey to really enjoy it, although he seems to tolerate it longer than me. So I'd have to say he's a spring dog. Sometimes I wonder what he'd think of snow.

| I'm not really sure which season Uni likes the best. We've taken her to the snow. She had a blast chasing all the people on their sleds. She ran around so fast and kicked off her boots. Everyone was laughing at her, she loved the attention. She doesn't even mind the rain. Remember she got in a fight with a raging rain gutter. I know she likes to wear clothes when it's cold. But then she likes to suntan too, even sometimes with a shirt on and she's panting like crazy. However, she will not get into a hot car without the a/c running for a few minutes first. She will walk in the hot sun and not care. Katie on the other hand, I know she was a mild weather girl. I didn't have her during winter, but she did not like being hot.

| Farley HATES the winter. He isnt afraid of the snow, he runs right through no matter how deep, BUT ONLY to do what needs to be done, and then right back in the house. Sometimes it takes him to long to decide where to go potty and then he holds his feet up and waits for me to come pick him up. Pathetic i know. However, he loves being outside, so spring, summer and fall are all his favorites. |

| Sadly we live in Florida so we dont really have seasons. We have Summer and almost Fall I think. All my dogs would most likely be Fall dogs. They seem to enjoy being outside more around the October to Feb time. For us that is our "Fall" Time. Maybe one day they will see snow and changing leaves. I know I would love to see it again. I saw it for 3 short months during my Navy training up North several years ago.
