| It might just take some time to make sure all infections are cleared up and furthermore try a supplement like Apple Cider Vinegar the same as you are using yeast and fungal detox to balance PH...the food change might make a world of difference, but give adequate time. Elvis had this issue, we did anal gland cleaning (he was rubbing his bottom after pooping and was severely impacted) he reeked like rotten fish. That helped in the immediate lesson the smell immensely. He also needed dentals (I doubt this is the issue with your pup) as he had also severe plaque build up and needed a full scraping at just barely 2 years old. After that it was a matter of having to not only change over his food but give it time to "flow through" and "change" his system...we still avoid salmon and all red meats with him he gets stinky easily. ACV really balances PH but there's many other ways to do so it's just my wonder drug here... sure your food choice also balances pH-ear infections can be a common sign of grain allergy or irritants in food to a dog. **a PH balancing ear wash with aloe used regularly after the infection is cleared up will really help eliminate ear odor-please be sure your baby doesn't have ear canals that require ear plucking (removal of hair from inner canal). The vet just gave us, Vetoquinol Vet Solutions Ear Cleaning Solution for dogs and cats. It was important we use one that has PH balance, also dries, is deodorizing and has aloe vera to prevent too much drying or irritation. I'm so personally happy you are trying to deal with the source and CURE it rather than mask it with perfumed shampoos only TREATING etc! Go you! ![]()

| Just wanted to let everyone know that my problem is solved. Unfortunately, Ella came from a puppy mill that did not care for her. When I took her to the vet she was about 2 lbs underweight (yes, that is alot considering how small she is to begin with), had a terrible ear infection and had gingivitus and tooth decay and plaque buildup resembling that of a 7 or 8 yr old dog (she is 16 mo). We got her started on medication for her ears and after about 3 days her strong body odor was gone - just like that!! (Her breath was still horrid but at least my hands didn't stink after petting her.) I did not bathe her or spray anything on her at all - it was all because of the ear infection meds. When she finished her 10 days of drops we had her teeth cleaned at the vet and what a difference!! They showed us before and after pictures on the computer and it was amazing! She also had two baby teeth pulled that had failed to fall out when they were supposed to. And now she a wonderful, happy, playful little girl getting into a lot of mischief (like she is supposed to). It is sooo great seeing her all better and loving her new home. We are still working on potty training but she has taken to that very well and is close to graduating. Wow, we had no idea what a personality she had the first weekend we had her. She must have been in so much pain and terribly depressed and scared. I can tell that she really does appreciate being in a better place - what a sweetheart! |
