I know free feeding would probably solve my problem, but they would all weigh 20 lbs. |
u never know, they might not. I free feed my yorkie and lhasa and they have ave weights. Mine dont even get walked daily either (need to, buts thats an issue in another thread) u could always try it and stop if its a prob. or what i did w mine when he was little id crate him at nite by my bed while we were potty trainning and i would put a hand ful of food in his crate to sack on lol I really just crated him till he was otty trained and then as i saw he was doing well being out about in the house i gave him more freedom and now he has full run of the house. |
Rio and Bullet are the same way - we all go to bed at about 930p and Rio usually wakes us up at least once in the middle of the night, usually around 1a to go out to potty. Sometimes she'll stop by her food bowl to eat a few bits of kibble, then back to bed. Bullet would sleep all night but once Rio wakes up, he's up too. He's not much of a midnight snacker though. I free feed them both and their weight has stayed fine (they're both 3 lbs. so I want to be sure they can eat whenever they want). |
LOL, The sneezing must be a yorkie trait for sure, Mine all do it for attention :) and if you try and ignore well they sneeze LOUDER :p treat time is so funny, they all line up and start there sneezing freenzy. |
All of mine sleep downstairs in the dining kitchen area where their beds, water and pee pads are. They go stright to their beds when we start shutting lights off. They have never barked or cried at any time during the night or even mornings, and I home cook. I'm up around 7, take them out for awhile then come in and fix their breakfast. Then they go right back to sleep while I"m busy cleaning things up. Oh, and my Yorkies don't do the sneezing thing but my Papillon does. :p |
