Donating YT 4000 Club Member | Holy Cow- strange story on Fox News A man with a 10 year old Rottie named Mia made the heart wrenching decision to put her down because of her debilitating and painful back condition. He took the dog to the vet and watched as the vet gave her two injections. He held her until he thought she stopped breathing. The vet came in and declared her gone. He wrapped her up in a blanket and took her home so he could bury her in his yard. The next morning, he went out to his garage and there was Mia sitting beside her dog bowl. Can you imagine the emotions this guy must be going through right now. He's beside himself with guilt. What if he had buried her right away, what if he had her cremated? He's also got to face the decision all over again about what to do for her. This story just breaks my heart.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | Oh wow, what a story, I just can't imagine what that poor man is going through. It's such a difficult decision, and then to have something like that happen.

| That horrifies me and has kind of been a secret fear of mine. I won't allow anyone else to deal with my furbabies bodies for at least 24 hours. Now I know my paranoia was justified. I feel so sorry for that man. |

| I would probably take that as a sign from God that it wasn't Mia's time yet!

| I also think that maybe its just not her time he needs to get a second opinion and see if he can treat her with pain meds apparently she is not ready to leave her family yet

| How is this even possible? Didn't they check for a heartbeat, pulse, check her pupils for light reaction? How did he pick up her body and carry her home? Wouldn't she have been limp and lifeless? Something is very wrong.

| I agree. I think we are missing part of the story. What a horrible thing to happen to anyone or any dog.
