I Am So ANGRY!!!!!! Today my hubby and I were out all day doing errands so today we knew someone from the electric company was coming to fix a problem our neighbor had we have a Lab (Brownie) that we put in our back yard before we leave so she asked if we could put her in her yard because the electric company were going to have to go through our back yarrd so we put her in her yard with food and water and left. We got home at around 5:00 and my hubby went over to get Brownie. when he came from next door he told me to go look at the other neighbors dogs. they have three outside dogs ( not yorkies) as i approached the fence I just started crying their dogs are being starved to DEATH!!! You can see every rib bone and every spine bone on their bodies. I went and gave them some food i could not even put it over the fence they snatched it out my hand and ate it i fed them more and my hubby went in their yard and gave them water. I rang thir doorbell so that i can tell them a piece og my mind but they did not answer. I called Animal Control and they told me not to feed them any more as they might try to say they gave them food and water. They are coming early tomorrow morning. Sorry about me going on and on but i had to rant. uggh  I can not wait until I see them. If they did not want the dogs they could give them away or take them in to our no kill shelter. Some people. :( |
Oh how sad. That upset me just from reading it. some people are so stupid. |
When will people ever learn? Good for you and your hubby! |
oh my god!!! how can some people sleep at night!!! grrrr stories like this make me SO mad!! i'm so glad you found them! you saved their lives! hates off to you! |
That is so sad! I am so glad you reported it! Keep us posted on how it turns out. |
That is awful! Those poor dogs! I don't know why people have animals if they won't take care of them! I don't know what I would have done, I don't think I could keep from telling them what I think! You did the right thing by calling animal contol. They will hopefully seize the dogs AND press charges!! I hope they get the booke thrown at them!! Keep us posted.. |
I will keep everyone posted as i will be up early tomorrow to see what happens. I have nothing against large people but these people are really fat and i want to tell them I can see that you all do not miss any meals but your poor digs have missed them all. my neighbor that lives between me and them has said she is afraid that when she opens the back door they will be dead. She says she has never seen them feed their dogs. |
So sad, glad you are doing something to help them. Hopefully they will find a new home that the deserve. The last couple of weeks on a local site people have been posting about loosing there dog. There posts piss me off because the majority of them were dogs they left when they evacuated for Rita. The didn't give a hoot about them when 120 mile a hour winds were coming through town. I am probably going to be band from the site because I send them a email saying I hope that there dog has found a good were they are part of the family and will never be left behind again and that they don't deserve to own a pet. I know this might sound not to nice, but our pets depend on us to take care of them. |

That is horrible!! I don't know why there are not stiffer laws against animal cruelty. I wish we could induce the same punishment upon your neighbors-chain them up outside and not feed them or give them water-idiots. What a*******, how can people do that???????? My heart is broken and I'll be thinking about those poor little angels all night and praying that they find better homes. Thank you for taking action, keep us posted. |
I can't stand the thought of dogs, or any living creature, being straved! There is no excuse for that and I hope those poor little ones are taken away by animal control! Hope those people get a huge fine also...or throw em in jail! |
That is aweful....Just wondering if animal control did anything about this yet? |
Thank you so much for not just ignoring that situation. Let us know what AC has to say or do. I hope they see the same thing you did and take action. |

Animla Control just left their house no one was at home again. they took pics and tagged their door. I was told that they will come everyday to see if there is food or water. They have to let teh owners take the animals to a vet to make sure that they do no t have parasites such as worms but they know they are being starved because dogs do not get that emanciated overnight. but it is a standard they have to follow. I have to write a statement and an officer is coming in the morning to pick it up. Also Two other neighbors are filling out statements. |

Those poor babies. Good for you to take care of it! We live in the country, and one time I noticed that these people had left some goats and dogs in a penned area, and I hadn't seen any human activity in a coupke of weeks (I passed by there every day on the way to work). So, I got out of my car and went up closer to the fence, and what I saw horrified me! I called my husband on my cell to come and help me. There was one dog fenced, tied up and had wound up his rope so he couldn't even move or lie down. There were three other dogs roaming around in the enclosed area. There were also about 4 or 5 goats. NO ONE HAD ANY FOOD OR WATER! So my husband cut the rope off the one dog's neck, and he broke down the fence so they could get out. The dogs ran out and went so far we couldn't see them! Poor things. We put some food and water down for the goats and the dogs when they came back. Then we called animal control and they came out the next day. The stupid people even left colars on the dogs that had their name and phone number on them. So AC called them and they said they had taken care of them (yeah, maybe once amonth ago), but they said AC coud have them all because they moved out of the area. Nice people, huh? They move and leave all of their animal fenced in with nothing. One of the goats had a baby, and the dogs ate the poor thing! Horrible...we saw the skull and bones. Anyway, happy ending....the dogs and goats were all rescued and they all got new homes. AC does care and they do a GREAT JOB! So, hang in there and your neighbor's dogs will be taken care of, I'm sure. |
 What really makes me mad is that those dogs are shut in a backyard and TOTALLY dependent on those people. How can people like that look at themselves in the mirror? I can't even begin to understand. Good for you for taking action! Beth, Maddie and Zach |
