Sad situation Yesterday was Jada's annual check-up and rabies vac. Her appointment was early morning. I gave bath's Tuesday night, had clothes laid out. I got up early, took my granddaughter to school. I came back home and got Jada all primped up.I did her topknot and got her dressed. Bogie starts crying because his sissy was getting dressed, so I had to get him ready and took him with us. Later that afternoon, went to pick up granddaughter at school, took furbabies and granddaughter to my mom's for a playdate. Granddaughter with my great niece, furbutts with my mom's biewer Jazzy. My mom was complimenting me on how pretty Jada and Bogie looked in their matching outfits. She says you do such a good job taking care of your babies. I had to laugh, yeah they were dressed so cute, hair fixed pretty and here I am, I just pulled my hair up, no make-up, old jeans and a t-shirt.(went to vets this way too). I told my mom: Yeah my babies are better groomed than me:eek: Oh well, at least my babies looked good yesterday. Does anyone else do that? Take better care of the furbabies than yourself. I bet I am not alone:p |
Ha! Glad that had a happy ending. I saw "Sad situation," and I panicked! I definitely do that with their food. I would be much healthier if I just ate what I fed them. But I guess you're right. I can't count the times I've put booties and coats on them and gone out in the cold with tennis shoes and a T-shirt on myself. |

Didn't mean to panic anyone;) But it is a sad situation, they get better food, better care, etc.... but it is like when your kids are small, you sacrifice for them, they come first.:p |
No kidding. I forgot about the vet. I have them down there at the first sniffle, but I'll wait weeks before I get anything checked out myself. |
LOL! Yes, that is me most of the time too! I look like a slouch most of the time it seems, but the furbutts gotta look good! (At least the spotlight is usually on them and not my slouchy butt. LOL). |

I hadn't thought about that!!! The cuter they look, the less people will pay attention to me with no make-up and my hair not fixed:D |
Oh yeah, I'm right there with you all. First thing in the morning, Zhoie gets her face washed, hair brushed and topknot. I find my morning ritual comes later, after she goes, eats and we play. You know..whenever, it can be worked in around her schedule, LOL. :D |
It's just like having children, their needs are first and Mom always comes last. But don't we love it that way??:) |
I think most of us are like that.:D |
Bailey always comes first, he is spoiled and he knows it!!! |
LOL your a dead right on. I jump out of bed in the am, get him out for his 20 min walk immediately so he can be comfortable to eat, come back in, cut up his chicken and feed him. Then I pour a cup of coffee for myself. He get's brushed and teeth cleaned in the am before I even think of myself. It's all about Buddy:aimeeyork If he's happy then so am I:p To be a Mom you always put your kids first. Isn't that the rule?;) |
You gave me a scare too! I can totally agree that my 3 get nothing but the very best. They even go to the groomer more often then I do.......well you know what I mean since the groomer is for them and my stylist ............. |
can totally relate to what you are saying. The weather was pretty nice for a couple of days so we turned off the air conditioner and opened up the house. Hot Rod and Maggie pretty much stay in the sunroom when it's opened up-it stays breezy and cool in there. Well over the weekend I was gardening and all sweaty and just refused to turn the air back on insistng it would cool off at night, so of course hubby and I were sweating all evening and nighttime. The next morning I turned on the a/c for the dogs when we both left for work, lol. |

DH tells me all the time the dogs eat better than he does. My best friend told me yesterday when she dies she wants to come back as one of my dogs. But they are very loyal, always glad to see me and they don't give me any lip. And unless I'm going to work, I go out in whatever I can grab to put on but I have to make sure they are brushed, they have no eye boogers and are looking their best. |
LOL yes kids always come first. Can I see some pics of the matching babies??? I wonder what kind of stuff I can do with my male |

There cute do you put bows in the boys hair as well? |
I can totally relate! After all... can you believe anyone would spend over a hundred dollars on dog shampoo and conditioner (and wants to spend another $100 now on more products) and yet buys her own shampoo at the DOLLAR store? :eek:I know you can relate to that too! :p I love being around people who understand me though! I would not admit that story to many people outside of you guys here on YT. |
I'm guilty, too. Rhett gets up, goes out and gets fed before I can even get dressed or go to the restroom myself. His groomer is going to cost a whole lot more than my "supercuts" visits, too! |
we gotta take a little better care of ourselves yorkie moms remember WE are THERE accessory imagine the conversations there having between each other .... Did you forget to brush your human today? Oh huney I think your Human wears an xsmall not a small shes swimming in that shirt! |

I'm the person that use to take 1 1/2 hours to get out the door and this includes skipping breakfast and picking my outfit the night before. Now when I buy clothes, I make sure they wash out well with paw prints and dirt. When it comes to my shoes I like them to hold up to trail walks/hikes and waterproof enough to take the hosing down. I traded knitted for fleece because I worry his nails will get caught. I keep my hair longer now so I can pull it back into a ponytail and wear a baseball cap so that my dog can see my eyes when we're training. I go to my hairdresser 3 times a year, he goes to the groomer every 2 1/2 months. One of the first things you see when you come through my front door is a grooming table, his bike trailer, his kennel and dog bed. And oh, did I tell you we're getting a king size bed even though I am 5 ft. tall and weight 100 lbs.? He has a regular vet and a holistic vet who is also a accupuncturist and nutritionist. We home cook- bought a slow cooker for some of his recipes and a dehydrator for his treats. We can eat his food and treats before we add his supplements, most of the recipes are tasty but need some spicing up. Yes, my home and my fashion sense has gone to the dogs and I look like a hiker on most days... but my dog has taught me plenty- dress sensible and comfortably, exercise, eat well, give back, don't sweat the small stuff because life is good here! :D |
Sorry, this is sooo off topic I know I am going to get in trouble, but I have been away for a while, and I need to know when AlaskaYorkie became Banning Thread Dictator. Yt has a dictator?? :eyeballpc :) |
I know exactly what you mean!!! I haven't had my hair done once this year, yet Boo has had the groomer come to the house twice. I just had my second piece of my birthday cake, but I cut up an apple for the dog. They go out in the morning before I have a chance to get dressed, brush my hair, or use the bathroom myself...Boo has insurance....I do not...He has a better wardrobe than I do...and I wouldn't have it any other way. None of that stuff makes me as happy as my dog. I can look like crap, gain 10 lbs, and get sick but boo will always make me smile, and I want to keep him healthy and happy for as long as I possibly can!!!!!! He doesn't love me for my hair anyway! |
