It makes me sick and angry all at the same time! This past Saturday, my husband and I went down to Ft. Collins, CO just to get out of town and do a little shopping. We decided to go to the mall, since we haven't gone in a mall in years (not really a big fan of them). Anyway, as we are browsing and walking the mall, we notice an all too familiar puppy store that malls tend to have :thumbdown. We see a ton of people in the store all looking at the poor babies stuck in those horrible window cages. we went to see what everyone was so entused about being in there. Anyway, we see on the wall next to the puppies a sign says "we sell purebred puppies!!" and it tore me to bits seeing those puppies in there. I saw everything from beagles to sheep dogs to 'yorkie poos' to pomeranians. I was very upset and as I left I said aloud "yep, gotta love those PUPPY MILLS":mad: and it was loud enough that I had a few heads turn to me. I hope they thought twice about buying those dogs.. and this isn't the best part about this horrible situation. On the post at the front of the store front it states "Give us your best offer deal. If you give us a decent amount for the puppy, we will sell it to you." :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdownOh I was soooooo LIVID and still upset about it! Thanks for letting me vent. |
I've been in that situation too. I now avoid pet stores becaue it makes me so upset that nothing is being done about it. And the poor people buying them are just as much victims as the poor puppies. |
Nothing worse than a Pet Shop.................oh wait the puppymills that they come from! |
I know! I want to shake the people for looking and considering those dogs, but they do not know any better. :( I almost always avoid pet stores but I had to see what the crowd was for and that sign was why.:thumbdown just depressing. |
