| Yeah, it did kinda freak me out the first time. I wondered if he was having breathing probs or the hiccups. It's just the sweetest little noise. I love to hear it.

I didn't either until yesterday!!! Then I had to come back and find this thread. Stewie did it really loudly last night and his whole body was twitching. Scared the sh*t out of me!

| I agree. They're just dreaming. If they're yipping in their sleep it probably means they're dreaming about playing. Well, that's my guess anyway. I notice that Susan does it more when she's been visiting and playing with her sister. I had a dog one time who seemed to have nightmares. I would wake him up because he seemed to be afraid. But other than that, I've always just let the dogs enjoy their dreams. |

| Yip! My little chihuahuas all did and so did Muffin and now so does Kacee! If you watch them, they run and sometimes their little ears are moving. They really get into those dreams!

| Willie "yips" and twitches in his sleep. Sometimes he snores too, but he's never farted out loud....his farts are all of the silent, lethal variety.....ugh! |

| You guys are cracking me up!! Shana, you made me laugh out loud! Thankfully Bo doesn't fart, but my Schnauzer does and his are like Willie's, silent and lethal! I'm always saying "Woody, go away!"

| Mine does the "yip" in her sleep too. But sometimes she'll even have a full out bark and it's scares the crap out of me in the middle of the night. |
