| Forever hair flow ! I took this picture out of a dog book I have of this beauty of a Yorkie!! I wonder how many years it actually takes to grow a coat like this? Have any of you members ever grown out your Yorkie's coat this long? Schatzie's hair grows very slow (or maybe I just have no patience, not sure), but I showed her the picture of this Yorkie and she just looked at me with a look of "Oh gosh isn't she so pretty?" So took a picture of Schatzie now to compare coats and well Im thinking many many years for her to grow a coat like this, LOL!!

| Isn't that gorgeous! I have no idea how long that would take. I wonder if they are like people, you know, how some grows faster than others. Or you know how there ar some vitamins or herbs some people claim make their hair grow faster, I wonder if they use them on dogs? Just a thought Anyway, that would have to be tons of work, and personally, I think I prefer the puppy cut .

| Actually, I honestly think Schatzie looks prettier than the other dog. I really like it just the way it is...a little long around the face, but still easy to maintain everywhere else. Whenever I see the pics of the dogs with long, long hair, I do think it is pretty, but I really wonder how comfortable the dog is? Probably doesn't matter either way I guess, whatever you like best. I do love the picture of Schatzie though....you are good at taking pictures. I too LOVE to take pictures. Someday maybe I'll do it for a living, not now though....way too busy with kids and now Sophie too!!

| I am trying to grow Amber's hair long. The key word their is trying. It does not seem like her hair will ever get long. It seems like her hair grows so slow. But anyway I think Schatzie is alot prettier than the model dog. |

| Well thank you so much Bitsy and Myfirstyorkie for giving Schatzie those compliments!! I plan on "trying" to grow her coat out to floor length just to see how it looks and to say "yeah, done that atleast once" before I cut it all off, hahaaa. I like the puppy cut a lot also and probably will go for that once i see her hair long. Just as long as she keeps enough hair to tie a decent top knot bow then i will be happy...

| I thought about letting gracie's hair grow long on her head, but the groomer and I decided to keep her in a puppy cut. She HATES bows they really seem to bother her. I've tried one, tow beside the ears, even one on her hip (she's such a vamp)!!!! But,,,,she is also a diggin' fool and a slob. I have to "damp mop" her face hair daily, besides cleaning out the "eye buggars", and that's with her face shaped several inches long. We have been letting her face grow out somewhat, but I keep the eye corners close(well the groomer does) and she's short above the eyes.......When I let it grow out, it bothers her. Will pick up some new pictures tomorrow and if I can figure out how to resize it..............am so stupid LOL........I'll post some |

| I am letting Snoodles grow out also! When it got to that raggy look around her face, it drove me nuts. But now, it is growing longer and looks a lot better. I comb her every day anyway, so I don't think it will be much different as she isn't very big. What I mean is a big dog would have a lot more space to comb out! I clipped her down really really short in Oct. so she has grown out quite a bit! Am anxious to see what she looks like long! Pat |

| Toto is 19 months old today and her coat has never been cut. It reaches the floor in places and is still a tad thin at the very ends. Unless I change my mind, in a few months, I want to have it "shaped" and properly cut. Only problem will be ... I wanted her breeder to give her that "first" real haircut! That will be quite the "trip" to the groomer!! Colorado to Georgia ... better start "planning ahead"!! It's really not too hard to keep the long coat ... needs at least a quick brushing every day and it's a great "together" time for you and your Yorkie baby!

| I was wondering if you just cut it all floor length, including the facial hair? One place I got on on the web, said just pull hair down and hold it with your hands on the table and cut above the hand. But, never really said anything about the long facial hair. Anyone know about that? Pat |
