Hello; I am new to this forum and this is my first post. Was wondering if anyone out there has had any problems dealing with a yorkshire terrier breeder by the name of Kim Hinkle? She is located in Sacramento, Ca. Her website is myelegantpaws? This woman was sent $4000.00 by me for a male yorkie by the name of Prince. The dog was purchased for my youngest daughter Mallory for her 11th birthday as a birthday gift. My daughter has a disability and carried this dogs picture around with her for days showing him to everyone she met. Kim has had my money for 2 weeks now and I have attempted numerous times to get her to return the money WITHOUT success I might add. She insisted on sending me a female by the name of Lovely instead and was planning on charging me extra money for the female, I refused of course! There was no contract in place on this male pup. His original cost was $3500.00, and I sent an additional $500.00 with the verbal understanding that this extra $500.00 was to be a down payment on the female Lovely. I was to finish the purchase of Lovely in the spring of 2010. Does anyone know ANYTHING about this woman?????????:(

oh my goodness!!!!!! I am so sorry. I don't know anything at all about this breeder but it sounds like you are being taken advantage of. there are so many good ethical breeders on this board and even right here in Kentucky. You might want to post this in the breeder review forum and see if anyone knows anything. Hindsight is twenty twenty but you should NEVER buy a dog without some sort of contract. I'm afraid your money is gone. That's a lot of money!!!!! Too bad you didn't come to YT first. BTW, welcome to Y.T.

That is so horrible. I have bought them over the internet without a contract, but I researched the breeder first.

I hope she at leasts sends you one of the dogs. Does she have a website? How did you here of her?

Oh goodness that is horrible!!! Welcome to YT I wish you would of found us sooner, theres so many nice yorkies for sale on here for much more reasonable prices. I really do hope you get your money back or at least a dog, but 4,000 sounds outrageous to me for a regular yorkie?

To the original poster. I'm so very sorry this happened to you. I wish I had some sound advice to give you. Hopefully another poster will. It absolutley breaks my heart to think of your little girl having her heart broken:( Perhaps if this does not work out, you could consider a rescue dog. I know that's not what you had your heart set on, but sometimes these things work out the way they are supposed to. good luck to you.

To the OP, (original poster), I would contact the District Attorney's office in the county where she lives and tell them what is happening and ask for their suggestions on how to handle this. You should make copies of any emails, receipts, etc. as you may need them. I sure hope you can get this resolved and recover your money.

OMGosh!! Prices aside, I wouldn't buy from this woman and if she's a member, I appologize but her site sounds way too snooty for me and from my own experiences, some of the "facts" she lists are just plain wrong when taking each breeder individually. Sylvia

Wow it is unbelievable that they CLAIM to have these beautiful show dogs from wonderfullinage and then raise them in deplorable conditions. Is this some sort of scam? Do they even breed the dogs that they show on their website?

Any site that has that many disclaimers, must have angered a lot of people.

I completely think it's a scam. In this thread, under one of her aliases, she referred the OP to her own website all the while acting as a third party. Then when the Op stated that the prices were too high, she claimed to "have a friend" with a little male who was going to be tiny for a little cheaper. Then when someone said something negative about her websites, she posted under another alias that any negative claims were false. Just reading her website makes me furious. I am totally disgusted to see her taking advantage of someone's child!!!! :mad::mad: This woman needs to be shut down!

living in nyc i thought there was nothing that i had'nt seen or herd of happening but reading this ladys website refreshes the concept that there are really fu#ked up people in this world and not for nothing her website looks pretty nice so it makes me realize that this is a person who went to great lenghts to scam good people who worked hard for their money and saved it to bring some happiness into their own lives....shes sealing her own fate with all that jibber jabber about yt and the other site shes just airing out her dirty laundry on her own website...if i was looking to buy a pup and came across all that smack i'd be clicking off the site ...not to fret sorry for your loss but lets look at it as god using you a a tool to help this women put herself outta business with all that crazy talk....

I dunno, the OP on this thread said she paid 4 grand, and on the breeder's website she says prices for pets start at 850. I notice it is this OP's first time posting. Why do they always join, post, and disappear..it's like drive-by pot stirring...LOL

Perhaps it has to do with avoiding the AKC DNA requirements for frequently used sires. Frequently used sires " meaning that he has produced seven or more litters in his lifetime or more than three litters in a calendar year."

I agree, she tells people right out that others have not been happy with her.

also look at he the dogs they are breeding, they look nothing like the beautiful show dogs in the pictures that she has plastered all over her site.

She has more on her site about Raymond Antonucci (who I understand was a wonderful person) than she does about her dlogs.

This is Robin again, and I want to thank all of the people who have voiced their best wishes to me and my child during this God awful situation we are in.

I also appreciate the words of wisdom and the sound advice that you have given to me about this situation.

I have an appt. with my atty. tom. at 12:00 and will take whatever action necessary to get my money back.

I still have not recieved my money, nor have I recieved my male puppy. Kim hasn't bothered calling me! SHOCK!!!!!!!

My intentions are to give to her what she is deserving, get my money back and shut her down because of her scamming sooooo many innocent people.

She claimed to be such good friends with Raymond, I just wonder what he would think of her now if he only knew how she had scammed an 11 year old child that has a disability!!!!

I will even fly to Sacramento and see her face to face if I have too!!

Everyday, my daughter ask me, "Mom have you heard from Kim about my dog yet?"

This is so heartbreaking for me because of my child, not to mention the $4000.00 tht I have trusted Kim with.

BUYER BEWARE OF KIM HINKLE OF MYELEGANTPAWS.

I would be more than willing to talk personally to anyone about this woman if it would save them the expense and heartache that me and my child have and are still going through.

I have spoken with another breeder who knew Raymond, personally, and she said he would be appalled at the whole thing.

She evidently doesn't even have the puppies that she has sold to you.

Robin, good for you! I hope you throw the book at this woman and she gets hit really hard. Hopefully she can be shut down and you can get your money back. One thing you might do, if you have not already, is to print out the complaints found online and take those to your attorney when you go. Every bit of ammo helps! You go girl! I am so very sorry you have to go through this, and that your child is a victim of this terrible person.

To the OP, since no contract is in place designating jurisdiction, you may be able to file a civil claim where you are as opposted to having to handle in in her home county.... However, for four grand, your damn right I'd be talking to someone...

I hope you will keep us posted and remember that YT is a great place for lots of info, so don't be afraid to jump in there and get to know some of us...
