Do any of your furbabies stare at you? By stare I mean sit in your face and not look away for about 10-15 minutes. It's sometimes very annoying:rolleyes: Haha sometimes I put my hand in front of her eyes but she still sits there and stares:p

lol no but thats funny and strange does it freak you out thats a long time. every night marley will bark by the bed until we let him up with us

I can't help but laugh at this :D Reminds me of my favorite old TV show, Fraizer! Eddie always was staring at him ;) Most dogs do not like staring , it is considered a threat in doggie language .
If my Suzi did this to me, i'd ask her, "What is it that you want?"
Or "can I help you?" LOL !:p

shelby rae does that when she wants me to do something...and if i don't get up to do what she wants she moves to a spot directly in my line of vision to make sure I see her...lol:)

LOL Maxi stares like that when he wants a treat, play time or attention.
I watched the whole special about dogs and the experts say that dogs communicate with people through the eyes. For example, they had three people sitting in the room. Two people had their eyes closed and one girl had her's open. The dog went to the girl to beg for treats because her eyes were open.

OMG! Is she threating me?!?! I bet sleep with one eye open.

Btw I can't say the word want around her. When she wants treats I always said "what do you want?" "do you want something good?" Now she associates the word 'want' with treats:rolleyes: Plus no matter what I say she stares.

She goes in my direct line of vision too! She mostly does this to my sister and if she's not around she'll do it to me.

Yeah she does talk to us with her eyes a lot. I would like to see that show. That sounds real interesting.

No not as a threat to you, however if the human stares back at the dog , it is a threat to the dog. LOL . smart dog you have . The word "want" means a yummy treat! :rolleyes:

Jackson does this to me sometimes, but not for that long, lol. It's usually when he wants to go outside.
