YT Addict | Is my sweet baby a Yorkie??? I took Harley to Petsmart Saturday to have him groomed and had 2 people ask me what kind of dog he was???? One lady asked me if he was mixed. This is not the only time this has happened. Its happened several times when I have took him out. Its upsetting because he is suppose to be a full blooded Yorkie. I did not actually purchase him from a breeder....he was rehomed due to someone moving to an apartment. I love him regardless and think he is the cutest thing on earth.... but of course I do! I would like to get some opinions to see if others think he is Yorkie. He is so hard to get a picture of but I'm attaching some of the few I've been able to take. http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...n/DSCN3228.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...an/Harley1.jpg http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m...n/DSCN3693.jpg |

Thor's Human Donating Member | He looks like a yorkie to me. You can never be 100% sure without papers, of course. I think people might be getting thrown off by the floppy ears, since most people train the ears to stand upright. I think he is adorable just as he is.

| Awww, he looks all yorkie to me and cute as a button. What a sweetheart! Being mommy to two "far from standard" yorkies I have found that LOTS of people question what they are. Don't let it get you down.

| Yep! He's a Yorkie ... and an adorable one, I might add! Believe it or not, there are people out there who don't recognize a lot of breeds, Yorkies included. I have had a lot of people ask me what breed my Toto is.

YT Addict | Another thing....why does everything think Yorkies are suppose to be tiny? That's another thing everyone comments on. He is over 10 pounds now and everyone tells me he is big to be a Yorkie. I was told when I bought him that his dad was 4.5 lbs and mom was 5 lbs so I was expecting my baby to be small. It just didn't turn out that way. |

| He's an adorable 100% looking yorkie DOn't worry about what comments people make about your baby. Many people just are not aware how and what a yorkie can look like. Some Yorkies are bigger, have more sliver color , or tan, or with a longer muzzle. They still are Yorkie's. IMO, there is no Mistaking your boy as anything BUT a YORKIE

| Looks like a proper Yorkie to me. Size isn't an indication. I've had three. My first Benji, was tiny when we got him, he fitted in the palm of my hand. He ended up being 12lb despite having an uncle who was a champion and had his pic in a book of yorkies! Oscar is 7 months old and weighs 12lb's already. Poppy is 8 weeks and 1.17kgs (2.5lb ish) and we've no idea how big she'll be. To be honest, we don't really care. As for ears, neither benji or oscar's ears stuck/stick up. We don't care about Poppy's ears either way. More important to us is that they can manage a 45 minute walk thro the local woods evry day . BTW, he looks like a little star |
