Not sure what to do! I'm in school, and my spring break is next week. I'm not sure if I'm going to the beach or not, but if I do, the place I'm going at doesn't allow dogs. :( Stupid, I know. But anyway, I will probably ask my mom to watch Baxter a few days, but I'm not sure she'll say yes. If she doesn't, I'm not sure what I will do with Baxter! I do not want to leave him at a kennel. I would worry about him too much: is he getting enough playtime? is he being fed well? Really, I might just not go, because I will miss him too much. The real reason why I was posting was if anyone knew a babysitter of some sort for dogs that lived near or even around the area of Charlotte, NC. I'd probably feel better if they had a dog that would keep Baxter company, and also knew how to take care of dogs. If there is no such thing as a dog babysitter, and my mom won't watch him, well then, I just won't go. LOL. Thanks in advance for y'all's help! |
You can put an add on Craigslist, like Looking for pup sitter!! There ads on our local craigslist for pup sitters and walkers... maybe you can put that you are looking for a pup sitter who has a very small dog like your yorkie!! |
We do tend to sacrifice things for our kids:) |
I feel for you, I am a student myself and have had to make loads of sacrifices and a lot of effort to make sure Cash is ok while I update my social life . Try your local ads to see who offers these kinds of services. You will probably find loads and if not, either post your own ad or find a yorkietalker in your area who could look after him for you. All the best. |
Why wouldn't your mom want to babysit her grandpuppy!?! If you were near me, I would! |

Your Baxter won't hurt the cats. He might chase them, but it's all fun for him and they should be able to get away from him by getting on top of things. My Yorkies love to cat hunt, but then sometimes the cat and the Yorkies just lay down together to rest. She's declawed, but if she still had her claws like my first cat, she'd really earn some respect. |
