| I havent bought second hand but I think it is a good idea. I have bought some cheap ones at dollar tree and places like that

| I wouldn't do it first because if they don't have squeakers, they are no good to Ellie and second because they could've been in a house with other dogs and we have no idea what diseases that dog may have. Laundry detergent doesn't kill things like parvo and distemper. I haven't even bought used things for Ellie from Ebay. It just makes me nervous.

| hm... at least she washes it.. i personally wouldn't do them but check out dollar stores they have stuffed toys for a dollar |

| I've been doing that for years! I wash them in soapy water with bleach and if they make it through that cycle I wash them a second time. I only buy soft baby toys because I believe they are made with every intention of being chewed on by babies. I throw a lot of them away after that but I get them at a local thrift store that bundles a bunch of them in a bag for just a couple of dollars. I bought a horse that actually whinnies and it made it through just fine. Cassie loves it. |
