| I feel so sorry for little Noki!! The way she talked all she wanted was to make money off of him. He was very cute!! I'm sorry that he passed. At least he doesn't sleep in a bird cage any more and he can run and play outside like other dogs!! R.I.P. Noki

♥ love my girls!! ♥ Donating Member | Did you see in the article that he only ate a 2.5 oz. jar of baby food over 5 days!!!! That's WAY not enough nutrition!! The vet said that he just stopped growing at 8 weeks, but no one knows why.....I'm wondering if he didn't have something wrong with his liver or something else. That could explain failure to grow AND unwillingness to eat. Hmmmm...... Also, baby food is on the list of "may be toxic to dogs" because a lot of baby food contains onion which is toxic. So, hopefully she wasn't poisoning him without even knowing it! I wonder which baby foods have onion in them??

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | So when did he die. I mean what do you mean you fed him baby food. He is a dog and he could have eaten wet food or moist dry food. Poor little thing, and slept in a bird cage. I would like to stick her in a cage..hehe.. |

| That is really sad that she kept her in a birdcage to sleep, it doesn't make sense why she needed to be in a cage like that on a table, and feeding her baby food instead of dog food. The way the article sounded by saying it could be the owners ticket out of there, it seemed like she was only trying to capitalize off of the dog. At least she can run free now

| Aww! That's too bad about everything he had to go through. Living in a bird cage and not being able to go outside... RIP little Noki...

| He is much prettier than most of the so called "teacup" yorikies that I have seen. but I think their care of him is a bit extreme. a lot of 8 week old puppies are that size and they are allowed to play outside and they eat out of normal dishes and eat normal dog food. they sleep in normal crates and although their bark is tiny it is more than a chirping bird. So I think they played it up a bit. |

| That lady angers me! It does sound like she was only trying to use little Noki for money. On Oprah?! That makes me wonder if she didn't deliberately do something like withhold proper nutrition or something to keep Noki extra small since she definitely had some kind of stake in keeping Noki small. It also makes me wonder about the ethical decisions of the vet NOT to do testing for liver problems, etc. I mean, how did Noki die? Does anyone know? RIP Noki |

| I just ran across this post and am so shocked I have a tiny little Yorkie too, my Gypsy weighs 2.2 lbs. I would NEVER consider keeping her in a bird cage to 'keep her safe', or try to make her live off of baby food instead of dog food. I hope that once she made it into the spotlight someone was able to give her an education on the proper care of a dog. I adore my Yorkie, and treat her like the little princess of dogs, however she IS a dog and needs the care and nutrition that any other dog needs. Sad to hear this little guy passed away. |
