I was reading up on what I need to do and it all seems VERY easy. Register, book room, and come to the meetup... can't get any easier than that.... am I missing something??

So there isn't a limit or anything, like the rooms won't book up and be gone by Jan 1st or anything right?? Sounds like the rooms are HUGE... I think I will loose Alfie in the room alone.. hahahaha... We have a new Fur-baby coming home for Christmas too..(she doesnt' have a name yet other than Lil Girly :p) and she will be able to come as well... sounds great!!

I think the rooms do sound big - bigger than we had at the first big meetup in Kansas City in June. But a lot of people will find a roommate. My roommate in KC was someone from my area that I knew well - but she won't be coming to VA. So, I know I will be looking for a new roomie this time around.

There were several people who roomed together in KC that had never met in person before, and they seemed to have a great time together. So, if you're afraid of having too much space, I'm sure you can find a roomie - maybe even me ;)

Roomies sounds like fun.. maybe by then I will decide on partnering up... (that is if my DH decides not to go...) but that would crazy... it sounds like so much fun!!

Yep its pretty simple! We should definitely still have space available in January. I think alot of members are waiting til after New Years to make sure they can secure vacation days at work. I think we'll have a lot more signing up then, so don't wait too long!

Don't forget to start saving pennies for shopping. There will be several YT vendors there with lots of really neat stuff. Many of the vendors will have special sales --

I noticed the little mention of having vendors... etc. That is super great... Not only do we get goodie bags but one stop shopping as well.. that's great.

Any ideas on which vendors are already planning on having a section?

Louis is a VERY small Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I am going to try and get Ella Bean's new boyrfriend, Sherman's parents to bring him as well. He is part Yorkie!

We are!!! (excited that is!) I ordered my stroller! Husband says "no way, i will not push it!!" We''ll see....he also said no more doggies after Oliver....then came Brooklyn! Arent men funny!?:D

I cannot wait!! For those of you who know me, I am going through a horrid divorce, made much easier by my furbutts and my YT pals!!

I am so excited to be able to attend - and you know what, if I was still married, I wouldn't have been able too!! LOL!!

I am like, planning my whole summer around this!:p

And I have a jar where I am stashing extra cash and coins for the main event so I can SHOP TILL I DROP!

I got my stroller a couple of years ago and my husband said the same thing! The funny thing is I was talking about the trip the other day and he said "I think I will take out the van seat and hook the stroller down so the dogs can travel in it and be comfortable and be close to you!

I am thinking about making my hotel reservations. This would be my first time. Is anyone going to the earlybird activities on Thursday? The cruise and happy hour sound fun. I am not sure if I should reserve Thursday night or not. Thanks in advance for your input.

What is the first meet up like on Friday night? Is there a place where we let the dogs have some playtime with each other?

I tend to be a little shy and really don't know anyone on here. Is it easy to meet each other.

I think that it was great meeting everyone who attended last year. There were a few who came that I didn't know from threads/posts at all, but I do now!!!!! Cyndi (Izzy Princess) and I are planning to be there for the cruise Thursday night.

I'll be there for the cruise Thursday! and don't worry about not knowing people! I was super active on this forum over the summer and then dropped off the planet for 2 months...but I am working hard back on YT and I am sure by July, we will all be one big family!!

We just booked our flight, so there's no turning back! We get there at around 12:30 Thursday, but after flying all night I don't think we'll be up for the early bird activities. We'll be ready to go Friday, though!

OK I am going to throw this out there... just in case.... I really hadn't planned on making the long trip from California, BUT I bought a motorhome a month ago... and justs for giggles.. wonder if anyone knows if there is any good RV parking anywhere in the area?

The closest RV park I could find to the hotel is the one below. Mapquest has it 12 minutes away from the hotel. I'll do a little bit more research later to see what else I can find.

My husband and i will be coming on Thurs. we booked the hotel for thurs and sunday too. We figured we might as well make it a little get-away for ourselves. I hope to be involved in the early bird activities. I dont know anyone on here other either, but, i am sure looking forward to meeting those that i have chatted with, or banned in the banning thread! or bought items from! It will be nice to have faces to go with the names. And to meet all those yorkies in one place!! Wow! So, i will look forward to meeting you Bonnie!!:D

How far is your drive from NC to the meetup? I am about 6.5 hours from CT.

I think I am just going to go for it and register this weekend! I am up for carpooling with people from CT, Mass, RI, etc.

I can just picture all the Yorkies playing together...
