Food Stuck on the Roof of his Mouth? Does anyone else have this problem? If I give any wet food to TJ mixed in with his dry food, it seem to get stuck on the roof of his mouth. Then his goes into this licking and shaking his head frenzy to try and get it out. Eventually I have to hold him and take my fingers to scrape it out...WHY does this happen to him? Roxy has NO problems at all with this.

I can not say for sure but perhaps he has a high palate.. I know that can happen in people so maybe that is it and soft food just makes it difficult for him..

I also dont know what that happens. Maybe you should only feed him the dry kibble. Maybe some of the breeders here have more advise for you.

Thanks everyone...He does mostly only eat dry food. I was just trying to give them a little wet (1 teaspoon) in the AM so that I can mix in the Missing Link with it. But since he has difficulty I guess I have to stop. I was just wondering if anyone knew why. I will ask the Vet next time!
