Make Out Sesh~ Ok I have a question about an odd behavior Tino just can't seem to break. It's not really a problem but it kind of annoying at times. Whenever I talk, laugh, breath, anything that has to do with my mouth opening Tino LEAPS up and sticks his tongue in my mouth! I mean besides the fact that its weird its kind of gross LOL! I can't talk to him without holding him away from my mouth. It's like all he wants to do is make out! I was wondering if anyone else has this issue with their little one. I don't really think I need to fix it becuase I love puppy kisses but SERIOUSLY he need to tone it down a bit LOL! Another thing he does is he is constantly licking me on my arms my feet anything he is laying next to. He is a really affectionate little man! Thought it would be fun to know who else seems to have this sort of "lovin". |
Paris does the constant licking thing too, i'd like to know too... she licks everywhere she's next to... sometimes i feel like she's my mother and is giving me a bath. that and when she finds her way to my nose and gets her tongue way in there (usually when i'm sleeping) and it feels like i got my brain licked (jk, but it does feel funny afterwards) I heard on Animal Planet that when they lick you alot they are acknowledging the fact that you are superior, you know.... the "Pack Leader". But i'm not quite sure the whole truth in that... i never looked it up either... |
It must be the name...lol! Our Valen"tino" is a constant maker-outer!!!! He loves to kiss and gives us "frenchies" all the time!!!! hehhehe....He especially loves after hubby has a beer. He cannot control himself and loves to get beer kisses!! :p Our little Lola is also a constant kisser...her specialty is the "up the nostril" variety. |
My jewels is a licker all over like that and she will do it for a long time. I sometimes push her away because it gets annoying. Then she walks off mad If i just let he do it when she gets done she will cuddle with me |
Lol that's pretty funny :lol tears Mocha often has his "licking moods". Sometimes it seems like he'll never stop with the kisses! The boys are so affectionate, aren't they? Mocha doesn't kiss my mouth though, unless I bring him right up to my face. You've just got a little lovebug on your hands ;) |
Licking fiend Cooper is the same way and he will try to lick my mouth when I am talking to him too. He is so weird. He wil wash me and wash me when we are cuddling in the chair or on the couch. It is weird but kinda cute too. Sometimes I havet to just make him stop. He also has started nipping at my feet again like he did when he was a puppy if I don't pick him up right away when he sees me. He is 7 months. If anyone has any ideas or reasons as to why they do this I would love to know too. THanks Cheryl |

Timmy loves to make out too. Sometimes I do have to tell him...okay mommys had enough kisses from you. Oh yeah he will climb anywhere to get to my mouth. Now my girls do not do that. |
They must like morning breath too...because I get kisses every morning before I get out of bed and haven't yet eaten a thing! :p Quote:

BOTH our guys are TOTAL kissers - they just won't stop until we gently say "okay, that's enough, thank you for the kisses!" - they just love kisses. Marcel also LOVES the nostrils if he can get to them. We call him NOSTRILDAMUS :D! If we let him, he would get his tongue deep enough to lick the frontal lobe of our brains, I swear! |
lol all the stories are funny. My two are both kissers BUT my boy Bear is relentless....I call him my loverboy because that is exactly what he is. |
Tucker is a little Don Juan, too! Every night before bed he has to give me and hubby a very thorough cleaning. He's always lovey and will give kisses on command. I don't let him get his tongue in my mouth (though it's been known to happen) but sometimes when hubby is waiting on me I have to tell him, "Be right there, just making out with the Tucker puppy!" :p |
It is a yorkie thing. I have 2 shih tzus and a maltipoo along with my 2 yorkies. The shih tzus are not big lickers, at all. In fact, Joe is repulsed by the thought of licking someones face! Diesel and Lilly, especially Diesel, steals licks. He will be sitting on my lap, and stare at me while I am talking, and the second my guard is down, fast as lightning his tongue is almost in my mouth! Its so gross but I cannot figure out how to stop it. If I am sitting on the floor, he does drive bys!!! He will fly up to me, lick my mouth (usually when it is open because I am talking) and keep zooming right by!! I am getting used to it, but it makes company very uncomfortable! |
Lucy is a kisser too. She gives me genuine kisses (sometimes I ask for them, shh) and other times she licks like crazy bc of my makeup, moisturizer, chap stick, etc. If I have lotion on my hands or something she will try to lick them. I don't let her lick up my nose, ears, etc bc that just repulses me! I'm sure people think it's weird enough that I kiss my dog. I had a shih tzu poodle mix before Lucy when I was growing up and she was never a kisser. She did give me a random kiss one time right before she passed away though. My fiance's parents have a shih tzu and he is not a kisser either. |
Wrigley is a licker! Especially when I put lotion on, she wants to lick it off! She likes licking my hands the most! Crosley isn't a big licker, but if you ask her for a kiss, she will gladly give you one! Camden doesn't lick that much at all and when she does, you can hardly feel it, she's such a soft licker! |
