Here's a photo of my 11 year old female Little Bear. She's the one with the IBS and senility problems (well apart from me that is).

She's very pretty! She looks like she is still going strong at 11! Big glowing eyes!!! I love her name too! :D

a run on Yorkies 11 yrs ago. So many dogs on this site the same age

She and Turbo will be fine with another little one. Little Bear is the most gentle loving dog I've ever met, she will mother that pup half to death if I know Little Bear. She is the Boss of Everything and Everybody. She will make sure that Turbo minds his manners around the little one. We are hoping that the little one will make Bear's last days with us special. She loves to fuss over other dogs, cats, squirrels, deer etc. She will not tolerate any signs of agressive behaviour or rough housing and there will be no stealing of food, toys, treats unless she's the one doing the stealing. We are praying that having the little one to mother will ease her senility and anxiety.

When my son and his wife were sent to the Gulf they shipped out there cat to me for 8 months. Bear mothered that cat as if she'd given birth to it herself despite the fact the cat was three times her size. So a puppy should be a natural for her.

What a sweetie...she looks awesome....I have a 14 year old and she's starting to looks so frail. She has fluids that build up around her heart ( that she has medication for..) and we're starting to think she is loosing her eyesight. Its amazing with all that she's still as fiesty as ever. :)

I have a Little Bear too. He just turned 4 months.

She's beautiful!! You're so lucky to have her all these years. I can only pray that God allows me to keep my babies for that long.

She looks like she knows how to rule the roost. She probably knows every doggie trick in the book and probably nothing gets past her. She's looking great at 11 years young...what a cutie :p

What a beautiful girl! She definitely looks good at 11. I'm glad that you've decided to get another yorkie with her- they say that animals with companions (animals) tend to live longer because they're happier. Heck- that's reason enough for me to get another yorkie!
