I didn't even think to ask my breeder how old they were LOL. I don't think you need to disclose your age, since you are partnering with your mother anyway.

I wish you all the luck with your goals as a yorkie breeder. I would like to add that you are tied down to your yorkies 24/7 and need to have a sitter whenever you feel you need to have a few hours off. You may even want to think of going into a partnership so that you are not the only person totally tied down. It is not easy finding a yorkie sitter that you can trust unless your mentor is willing to puppy sit for you??? If your mentor is who I think it is be careful. My first breeding male purchased didn't have his liver shunt show up until he was 2 yrs. old and he was supposed to be a quality yorkie breeder male. Just a word of caution.

All else put aside, I wish you the best and hope everything goes as you plan.

There are lots of post, which I haven't read because I'm tired and need to go to sleep as I have to get up at 5:30 in the morning. If you are anything like my 15 year old granddaughter, yes, I would buy from a 17 year old but your age is something that doesn't have to be told. Age has little to do with the love of the breed. We all have a starting point, you are just younger than most of us before we got the yorkie bug. Good Luck to you and keep us posted.

just ignore the mean comments on yt.. if you get any... its just the old ladies in menopause

So all the "mean" comments, views, advice and suggestions are only given by "old ladies in menopause"????? I think alot of experienced breeders on this thread have now been lumped into the old lady with menopause club. Gosh, whats next, the one step in the grave club.

well if you read some of her/his advice you would think he/she falls right into her own category...i dunno what's going on...but i just thought was plain rude like most of her other comments...i wonder why the change of heart from yesterday and today...guess i may never know...heheh
