Want to share my first Yorkie experience
 

I traveled an hour and a half to another state to pick up Heidi from a breeder and surprise my fiance with her. We were not sure what to expect, but we now know that Yorkies are great dogs. Here is a picture of Heidi at 8 months old.

After we learned about them and how to care for one, we could not help ourselves and we got another one. We went to see the second one (who we named Teddy) and the lady that owned her didn't even have her?!?! She kept her at her mom's house because she did not want to care for him. When he saw us, he came up and wanted to play with us immediately. We could tell he was not loved. I picked him up and he gave me kisses. We knew we had to save him from his previous owners. It was so bad that the lady let her little kid that could not even say words yet name the dog. He had the worst name that was not even a word (it was so bad I don't even remember the name now). We bought him and have not regretted it for one second. He is the sweetest dog. His tongue was so long that it used to hang out of his mouth before he got bigger. Here is a pic.
