| Hes acting so WEIRD! Lately chewy has been licking and basically eating his legs, butt, little man part, and just all his body he can reach! On top of that he was been very strange lately, his potty training is going great but now hes starting to eat his poop. another weird thing he has been just pulling himself across the carpet like army crawl style, at first it was because he had razer burn from a horrible hair cut (thanks pet co!) but that is completely gone now, and have been for a while! he has been just crying out for attention, and i give him SO much! ever min i am home! and thats a lot! i dont know, some of it just seems like puppy behavior but it still is just weird, and he is my first puppy...what do u think?

| does he have fleas? it sounds like fleas or some skin rash and worms or something (they drag their butt like that when they have worms.. OR if they are itching!) i read on here that oatmeal shampoo helps relieve itchiness... thats all i know though :/ im sure someone else can help you better! oh oh! sometimes their food can make their skin really itchy... maybe its that?

| I also think it sounds like allergies. Dogs will make themselves raw with allergies. Our Reggie's allergies have been helped with switching to a better food (raw food was the best) and by using either a oatmeal, seagrass, or medicated shampoo. For the poop eating, you can get a product called Deter (I think that's it) at the petstore. You sprinkle it on their food and it will stop that behavior. I'm not positive but I believe I read somewhere that even that can be a sign of allergies. You probably don't want to let it go, because they can either develop skin problems from the chewing or just further develop the nervous habit and continue it even when you solve the problem. Best of luck - let us know......

| he is allergic to everything, he cant have anything but specific food that the vet has to give us. thats the only thing he tested normal with so i dont think it is allergies. also he doesnt rub his but its more like he pulls his belly across the carpet.

| Guess I would even check the ingredients of the vet's food just to be sure. My Pommie, Snowboy, is allergic to wheat, corn, and eggs. He still bites some but not near like he did. It has been suggested that I also eliminate chicken from his diet. That may be my next move.

| My moms shih tzu moves back and forth on her belly like that, it looks strange, she got her in to a really good vet, and it was food allergies..she put her on the food the vet gave her(prescription food) and it has cleared her up.. |
