Help...Pics Today...What Hair Do I Trim??? 3 Attachment(s) I'm taking Piper to PetSmart either today or tomorrow to get his pictures taken. I want to be able to "see" him in his pictures. He seems to be at the in-between stage where his hair isn't short and it isn't long enough to lay down either. I wanted it to grow so I could topknot it if I wanted to but he looks like he has "crazy eyelashes" going on or something. Also, the hair on each side of his snout, under his eyes sticks up over his eyes and gets in the way. It also gets yucky from eye gook and looks wet. Here are pics to give you an idea. They were taken during Piper's first camping trip last weekend :D The one with the topknot shows the wet, eye gook thing I was talking about...what to do for that too?? Where would I cut without ruining him and the future hope of growing his hair out. CONFUSED!! Thanks!! |
I know its hard getting through that in between stage, but if you cut the hair on his face you'll be back a square one with letting it grow out. Bunny gets the wet face too, but she's usually good for a day after her bath. Why don't you try bathing him right before you take him for his pics. You have also use some Vaseline to get the hair to lay down. |
grooming I would just comb him with a fine toothed comb on the face right before the photo..he looks loaded with personality the way he is..good luck |
If you are wanting to let it grow out I would not cut it but put it up like you did in the first two pictures. He has nice coloring. |
I like how you did his baby knot.. I would do that again for the pics. Also, I bought these things called Swisspers... They're like flat cotton pads. I use them to clean the goo from Roxy's eyes. Just a little warm water and nothin' else. After I do that, all the hair dries and it doesn't have the teary look. I think I recall other people saying they used gel on stubborn places? The middle pic is gorgeous, even with the tears. I'm sure they'll have some ways to help, too... Sorry I can't be much help! |
