| Thank you to Gizmo's YT angels I want to take a moment to acknowledge a couple of YorkieTalk Angels. So please forgive me if this is a little long. My husband had major surgery last week at a hospital out of town. I knew that I would be staying in a hotel by the hospital for that week and focusing on John and his recovery. We had no one to take care of Gizmo, and we didn't want to leave him alone. The best option at first was to board him with our vet. Yorkiecrazy heard about our situation and volunteered to keep Gizmo for us. I can't even begin to describe how wonderful they have been, but I am going to try. With John being ill, we couldn't drive Gizmo to them, so not only did they drive four hours to pick him up and four more hours back home, but they also drive him back to us today. That makes for a total of 16 hours of driving time just to help us with Gizmo. They took wonderful care of him, and he fell in love with them and their precious yorkie girls. She groomed him, brushed his teeth every night, gave him his supplements, gave him his monthly heartworm medicine, played with him, let him sleep with them, helped us continue his potty training, and took him for walks (weather permitting). Katie became his little girlfriend, and they even sent home a little framed picture of her for Gizmo to keep. Gracie was his mother/protector he ran to when he heard something that scared him. Jaimie and Kelly welcomed our furbaby into their home and into their arms for no other reason than it would be the best thing for him. So, to Yorkiecrazy and MrYorkieCrazy, and all of the other unsung YorkieTalk heroes, thank you for everything you do to help our precious furbabies. Here are some photos Kelly took of Gizmo's vacation with them. 1= (top to bottom) Gracie, Gizmo, Katie 2= Gizmo and Katie playing 3= Gizmo on vacation 4=all three worn out after a long walk (left to right) Gracie, Gizmo, Katie

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | I'm so glad you took her up on her offer - they're the BEST and I trusted MY girls to them when I had to go out of town - I knew little Gizmo would have a great time - be well cared for and treated as one of their own - Thank you Jamie and Kelly - and Judy I'm SO GLAD Things are looking up and the surgery went so well. the pictures are adorable !! Jamie even got one of Chanel in front of her little suitcase waiting to go home - she KNEW when she saw Jamie packing it up it meant 'home to mom' as much as I know she enjoyed being at their house. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Hooray! I remember reading your initial thread and am glad to hear that first, your hubby is home and recovering well from his surgery, and second, that Gizmo was able to stay in a family home enviroment rather then being boarded at the vets. From the pictures, it looks as if he had a most wonderful time! Hugs to you, to your hubby, and to Yorkiecrazy and MrYorkieCrazy for stepping up and making a difficult time a little easier to bear.

| Oh, my gosh. This just brings tears to my eyes. I'm so glad we were able to help Judy, John, and Gizzy out. When we arrived back home today, our house seemed lonely without little Gizzy in it. I'm afraid we grew quite attached. But, we get to be his god-parents and that's a blessing. I have to say that John and Judy are just wonderful people. We can't thank them enough for trusting us with their precious Gizmo. They also sent home with us this wonderful heartwarming plate and a beautiful friendship card. I was very touched by this. I will post pictures of this and their reunion with Gizzy later. DH has to get the pictures ready. I have to tell everyone that John is looking really well... much better than when we first met him last week. I'm soooo happy for them. And John, you better start minding Judy. You weren't doing too good of a job of it while we were there! lol. And thank you, V, for that wonderful recommendation. You know Kelly and I loved taking care of Chanel and Cheri, too. You know I'm proud to be their second mommy. And I just love our wonderful YT family, too. We do have so many wonderful angels here.

| That is so good to hear. We all know how stressful it is to leave our babies for any length of time. Knowing that you have someone that you can trust is priceless...especially when you have other very pressing matters to attend to. YT members are the best!!
