| I would not take a chance. Sure, the pit might be OK, but it only would take a second for one of these powerful dogs to kill a Yorkie. Not a risk I am willing to take. |

| YES YES AND YES! Good training, good home, good handling, you CAN have a pit and yorkies. I do, and my big guy actually PREFERS little dogs. He is terrified of dogs his size or bigger. He makes the best playmate for my babies. I know a lot of people hate pits, personally I absolutely adore them.

| The Pit (Skye) is very playful & is biting at everything (toys, blanket, pee pads). I know she is a puppy & this is normal BUT Last night & tonight I have had her on a tight lease when around my Yorkies just for a lil while, then back outside or in her play area in the hall. Well she (just playing) bite at my Stormy last night & tonight - She did not get her because I was holding the leash very tightly. I know this is because she just wants to play & not because she is the Dreaded Pit Bull most people Fear. BUT what if she would have got her. How can you make a Puppy Calm & Submissive at this age??? - It is So Playful & Clumsy!!! I think i have to tell my Son to rehome her. If he wants a big dog he will have to get one when he moves out on his own. I love her like my own - I am getting to attatched & don't want to rehome her BUT.................. BIG DeCIsIon!!!

BANNED FOR NOT MAILING PRODUCTS PURCHASED | in all honestly if someone would have wanted to buy one of my puppies and had a pitt bull, I would not have sold one to them. Just the thought makes my skin cringe. I'm sure pitt bulls are nice dogs, I know they have a bad rap, but they are not the only ones who have attacked. I just would not let my babies near a bigger dog like that. |

Also when playing with her, never get her in a frenzied state, you want to stay out of the hyper crazy zone since she's so big and still learning. I always make them lay down when their puppies and give them a full bodied rub down. While doing this i kinda roll them around to their sides and on their back. I do not force them on their backs, they do it willingly during the rub down. When she's in this relaxed state you can have one of your yorkies come in. Don't make a scene about the yorkie. have him/her come over quietly or have someone hand him/her to you. Continue to hold the yorkie close to you and kinda over the pit while you rub her down. If she's good about this and still relaxed (calm submissive) you can have your yorkie try to stand over her showing the pup that the yorkie is dominant. the yorkie can do whatever he/she wants to the pit and the pit has to allow it. walking over her/sniffing/licking/whatever. If you do this while she's in the relaxed calm submissive state she's less likely to get up or move. Doing this while she's sleeping is good too. Just never do it while she's alert and in puppy crazy mode until you'd established some ground rules.

Ya know we kinda were doing this earlier with her. My son came home from work & I told him what had happened earlier with Stormy & Skye. He sat on the floor with Skye (Pit) rubbing her belly & the Yorkies came over for some petting & not one Yorkie growled, barked or bit at the Pit. It was the 1st time I had seen this with them. Then the Yorkies went lay in the recliner with Hubby. We even started some clicker training with her tonight that I had learned at Petsmart Training classes with Scruffy. She did really well, very smart puppy.

| Trainer I think I might have found the Right Trainer for Skye. She owns 2 Pit Bulls among other large dogs - not sure if she has lil dogs. I hope to speak with her tomorrow to get her opinion on this situation & Training if we keep her.

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I'm going to give you a big here. I sincerely hope that you will decide to keep Skye. She is beautiful and I think she will get along just find with your yorkies if you teach her properly. Get a trainer right now, and just work with her. Work with her as she gets older, and she can and will learn to be calmer around the yorkies, and she'll eventually understand that they are smaller than her and she needs to be careful with them. I canNOT stand it when people judge this beautiful, loving, GENTLE breed based on their bad rap (which is way out of control, btw). Pit bulls are one of the most loving dog breeds in the world, and I wish I could have one. One thing I'll tell you is to NEVER be nervous when they're together. You should be keeping a close eye on them, but do not get stressed out. They will sense it, and they'll get stressed out, which won't equal a good thing. if you ever feel tensity between them, get her OUT of there, and seperate them. But try to be calm when you're doing it. Patience, love, and proper training and your furkids will have a wonderful playmate, and your son will have a loving companion. Best of luck to you!
