Looking for a little girl
 

Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anyone knew of a Breeder in Florida, preferably in the Orlando/Kissimmee area. I want a sibling for Cody.
Now here is my dilemma, and help me out here because I am clueless about this particular topic. Under no circumstance am I thinking about breeding, I did a brief stint in Labor and Delivery during my nursing career. :eek: Needless to say I didnt last there too long! I just could not do it, it was not for me. So if I couldnt deal with helping women deliver their babies, I would never dream of one of my furbabies getting pregnant and me having to help her deliver them if something went wrong:eek: .:thumbdown No way, nuh uh, not for me!!
Cody will be 15 weeks this week and I understand that they must be 6=9 months to be neutered. Is this correct? So the little girl I want has to be weeks old as well, I dont want her to be older than Cody I want them to pretty much grow up together. So there wouldnt be a chance of them doing the nasties right? because they are still babies, right? What I really need to know is how long before they wanna start having....u know.... relations(UGH)!!! I dont want Cody to sodomize her and impregnate her before his 6 months, is that possible... please help:confused: But more importantly, please dont forget the real question and that is does anyone know of a breeder in Florida. I think most vets prefer puppies to be 6 months old before neutering. However, some exhibitor/breeders do neuter/spay before a pup leaves their home at 12-14 weeks.

The YTCA site does have a list of breeders by state, I believe. Also, you might check this site, in the for sale section for your puppy. Good luck.:)

You can spay or neuter a dog when it is at least 2lbs...doesn't really matter what age. 6 months has been the traditional thing to do so a lot of vets still wait until then, but more and more vets are spaying/neutering earlier now...as early as 8 weeks. I've seen many vets that will spay/neuter at 12-16 weeks of age.

Maybe these may help. Just remember, if you call anyone who has puppies for sale, and they no longer have any, ask them if they can recommend someone else. ;)
