how many of your yorkies do this? Does any of your yorkies pose? Like with their front paws together, head on front paws, and butt sticking up in the air? My little Kalani does it all the time, and I cant seem to ever get the camera fast enough. Just curious how many others do it. |
Count Lizzie In! My Lizzie does this. I always thought she was stretching when she does this. |
:) mine sits like that forever it seems, but if I move so does she. |
Bella does it too but I've never been lucky enough to get of picture of her doing this. |
My Kalani sits like that when he wants his sister or brother to pay attention to him - he can stay like that forever, just patiently waiting. He reminds me of a lion preparing to pounce cause every once in a while his little tail swishes but otherwise he 'appears' very calm - LOL! |
LOL My big one(the oldest) does that, especially when she's wanting to get the ball from the shih tzu, then she scoots around and then rolls over..she loves her belly rubs..I was thinking I had the only strange yorkie, of course, I think every yorkie I've met has been a little bit strange in one way or another...but, gotta love em |
mine do this all the time when they are playing...it is the stance they use before they pounce on one another...it is very cute! i love when their tails wag and it looks like their whole booty is shaking! rofl!! :D |
I've got two here that do it whenever the camera isn't around. As soon as I go for the camera, they run away. I think they don't want everyone to see how cute they can be, it might ruin their tough guy reputations. :p |
:) 1 Attachment(s) have you ever seen that picture of a yorkie sitting like that, its on cards and such. I just love it, wish I could catch mine in time. She does it all the time, not just when shes playing. too funny, I will try to post the picture Im talking about, its sooooooooo cute. |
Carlos does this when we play. He poses and then runs after me. |
That's how Sugar sits when I'm fixing his ponytail. I'll have to get my husband to take a picture. It's so cute! |
1 Attachment(s) Zoie is fine till you get the camera, still teasing you she will sit there till she sees the light come on before the click and then she moves. Darn she is in the movement and you miss her facial expressions |
1 Attachment(s) Here's Max doing it, but I didn't really get the proper angle when I took the photo~ he does it all the time when he wants you to play with him. Ahhhh....now that I look at it, it's a really crummy picture of it, but that's what he's doing, honest, LOL. |

Aah, none of mine do that. How cute it looks. I have one that will freeze when he is getting ready to pounce. I've been trying to get that on the camcorder for months now. |
1 Attachment(s) Well I just had my daughter take a picture of Sugar when I fix his hair. It's a bad one and he looks miserable but here it is.:p It always cracks me up how he sticks his little butt in the air when I do his hair. edit to add- that's a really bad picture! I think I'm going to have to pretend to do his hair to get a better one. |

Ya Gus does the little butt in the air thingie too, and it's usually right in one of the cats faces... |
1 Attachment(s) LOL, I tried to fake him out and take another one. He lifted his head at the last minute the the booty is up in the air. |
BTW, please pretend you don't notice he's on my kitchen table- that's a family secret.;) |

Oh my gosh~that's SO cute!!!! |
Thank you.:) I used to to Gracie's top knot by putting her in my lap facing away from me. When I got Sugar at 17 months I tried doing his the same way and he would fight me. One day I put him on the table just to do a quick adjustment to his pony tail and he immediately layed his head on his paws and stuck his little butt in the air. It was how he had been raised to have his hair done and I just didn't know. After that it was sooo much easier!:) |
Yep - mine get in the same pose all the time. I have never had any luck getting a picture. Actually, that is one of the things we worked on in their click-a-trick class. Before the class I just called it "pre-pounce", but in the class that pose is called "bow" as in "take a bow". We have to work more on the difference between "down" and "bow" so they get it consistently. |
Yoga Pose In yoga, it's called happy dog! :aimeeyork |
