Glad to hear from you Patti....I have been thinking of your for two days. I am glad to hear that now you have some direction. Regarding Susan, I am not supprised that she is involved and offering options for you....she has been doing this a long time and loves her Yorkies as we all do....I think she is as special as you are.....:) Dixie is such a cute.and I know you are head over heels for her....I know that this will all work out, even with the medicines, hey, none of us are perfect....she just needs a little more care ....:):).. Keep us posted! Shirley |
The specialist just called and said that Dixie has 27 % kidney function, so a loss of 73% function but to not be discouraged as he has many patients at that level who are doing well on meds. He is calling in 5-6 meds to start with to a special pharmacy to compound the meds due to her small size. They should be ready Saturday night. Then after she is in them for 2 weeks I bring her back in for a blood gas test and if that is ok he will turn me over to my regular vet for followups and then add some more meds in the spring. So I am hopeful she can tolerate the meds and they work so that she can have a pretty good quality of life. Thank you all so much for the prayers and concerns. YT prayers are the best |
Oh my Patti,I'm just reading all this. I'm so sorry and I'm praying for the best for Dixie. Hugs to you! |
