Help Please! I need advice! I'm sorry I'm posting here, but I need advice before I go to bed, I have to get up early tomorrow to go back home from my vacation. Bengi is throwing up, here is the link to the thread http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=109367 |
I am going to bump this for you, hope Bengi starts feeling better, :( |
Ok, I am sorry to hear that. I don't have any advise for you but sending prayers and hopefully your little one feel better soon. But can you call yr vet and see what he or she say? They should have an emgerceny # when you call his or her office even though it is not normal office hours. Or look up emgerceny vet # around where you at now.... |
I would not give him anything to eat or drink for a few hours, unless you think he may already be dehydrated. His stomcah needs to rest. Definetly nothing to eat though. |
I've always been told to give a small amount of boiled chicken and rice, but I'm not sure if that's a good idea since his tummy is so upset. Could you possibly give him some ice cubes to make sure he stays hydrated? Hope someone can help <3 |

My vet gave me Cerenia when Monday was throwing up. Perhaps you can get some before you travel? And then only feed him a little bit of boiled rice and chicken. |
I'll see if I can find Cerenia tomorrow. Otherwise could I give him some Pepto? |
Rice or rice mixed with pumpkin or yogurt. Is he hungry? Will he drink? Loki had a virus once and for about 24 hours he refused food (I think the only time in his life) Otherwise he will always happily eat and rice always helps diarrhea or any issues from eating something that doesn't agree with him. Sam pukes that yellow stuff like once a month always first thing in the morning (usually on my pillow  ) and it's because her stomach is empty (usually from eating dinner earlier in the day than usual and then not getting a snack or treat) When that happens she is happy to eat either a buddy biscuit or her kibble and she's fine. |
I'm sorry to hear Benji is sick... Hope he is better soon! I'll say a special prayer when i say my prayers tonight. |
