If they're shivering, they're cold. You have two options. Leave them inside, or protect them from the cold when you take them out.

| I live in Ohio too, and I won't take my dogs out without a sweater or coat. In fact, I just got two new jackets in that I ordered from them. These little guys get cold easily. Remind your hubby that these dogs don't have undercoats. One of mine doesn't like clothes, so I don't dress him very often. But, there are times when he seems to like having clothes on because he gets cold easily.

| I totally agree with abbie's mom!! Chloe will shiver if she goes outside for too long...Yorkie only has hair and not fur..they need extra coat from cold. |

| Don't let anyone make you feel silly about keeping your pup warm! ![]() I dress mine up all the time, but I understand to others they just aren't into that and I totally understand. But when its bad weather outside it really is important to have a rain jacket or coat or a sweater. I don't always put mine in coats when they are just running in and out, but if we are going to be outside more than a minute or two, I layer 4 legged pjs and a coat |

| Don't let anyone let you feel silly for keeping your furbabies warm. People might laugh or stare (who most likely don't have small dogs), but that costs less than a trip to the vets. I know how easily I get cold in the winter, so my policy is, if I need a coat then they probably need one too. Hope this helps and your husband comes around.

| There are alot of people out there who simply don't like small dogs and will tease you for dressing them up. My in-laws are some of those people I live in GA and my little guy shivers when we go outside almost immediately and it's not that cold here, so I put a sweater on him. I figure, if he's shivering, he must be cold. |

| I would say yes simply because they do not have undercoats. Mine shivers when it gets cold, even in the house! |

| I live in Georgia also but it can be chilly in the mornings. I had all 4 of mine in coats for their morning walk the other day and one of my neighbors said, "when I die I want to come back as one of your dogs". I took it as a compliment but I think she was trying to tell me how spoiled she thinks my dogs are. LOL They do get cold without them. |

One day my mom said "You know, there are children out there that aren't as lucky as Beau." What do you say to that? I just walked away because I didn't want to start anything.

| Hi I live in Quebec, Canada, let me tell you I shiver when I go out - and Logan too!!! so I made him a coat to go potty.... I don't even take him for a walk any more - yesterday with the snow storm we had (over 30 cm and -12 C) he just wimper when I put him outside.... the pipi pad is handy - to give him exercise - I play fetch with him for at least 10 min. he runs in the house like a little rabbit

| If their shivering I would say they definetly need something on. Especially with their short hair. I'm having Piper's hair cut tonight, and he'll have his sweater on in the morning.
