| We have three yorkies now and as of last Sunday we are the new family to an adorable 8 month old pug. I knew there was a chance we would be taking him but was surprised when I came home from my mothers after a weekend visit to find my bf had brought him home. He was given to someone we knew who realized they did not have the time to give him. So we are the third family he has had in his short life. Will post pics in a new thread over the weekend.

| I had other breeds before... a boy maltese and a girl shih-tzu. When I finally got the yorkie, I decided they were the best breed for me. The other two I gave away for adoption because I was younger and wasn't responsible enough . I didn't put in time to train them and they became wild... so I had a cousin adopt my maltese and a nice lady that owns an acre adopted my shih-tzu. I would say if not a yorkie... any small, long haired dogs =)

| Well, I've had a maltese, wouldn't want another one, unless it was like my sisters, have a german shepherd, a golden retriever, a shih tzu and a supposed biewer, so, the only one I still want, that I'm planning on getting is a ST Bernard |

| I would have to say hands down it would be a Blue Great Dane! I think they are the sweetest most majestic (yes majestic, don't laugh) dogs ever! Eventually I hope to get Bruce a big little brother.

| Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Before my yorkies, I have/had mostly medium sized dogs, but came to realize after getting my first Yorkie that I am truely a small dog person. So if it wasn't a yorkie, something small...maybe a maltese. But really....always a yorkie from now on.

| Haha! I love this thread! We have a lap dog and a guard dog. Our 3yr old Doberman Pinscher is a total lapdog; my 14 month old Yorkie rules the roost and acts as the live-in security system. The Dobe wouldn't have it any other way! |

| I used to raise Bichon Frises and I would love to have another one of this beautiful happy fluff balls - just last weekend I ran into a couple with one, who told me they are fostering 8 for a bichon rescue. If I had a big dog -- yes - this is big for me -- I would have a Airedale Terrier or a Welsh Terrier -- and their coloring is the same as many yorkies
