thinks carpet's a pee pad Sabrina goes potty on pee pads - always has. BUT when we are visiting, she thinks carpet is OKAY. Since it's just when we are visiting, and I have no carpet, how to I break this behavior? BOth places this happens have other dogs, and I think it's because she smells where they have been, but that doesn't make it okay. Have you had this problem??? sabrina's mom |
Maximus used to do this also...my bf's family has carpet and does my mother..he has no accidents at home ..because we have all wood floors...what I do is put down 2 pads at my moms house..NOT on the carpet..by the wood floor in the dining room or the kitchen and I have brought his baby gate there...now after 3 weeks of that..he has no accident and goes on the pads...my bf's family's house is a differnt story..my bf never brought the gate and he peed on the crapet..I SWEAR he still smells it...I put 2 pads down there as well this time on top of where he continues to pee...he gets it about 95% of the time now...but the poop..that he hasn't accomplished yet hope this helps |
Thank you - I'll try it when we visit again. It's just embarrasing. But they have all been to my house and noted that she's fine at home. Also - one of their dogs "marks" at my house. I don't say anything. Just clean it up and spray it. I did order one of those "black light" things that's supposed to show "where they have been" because I'm getting new puppy. Thought it might be easier to find the spot of the mystery smell. I love'm, but they are a continuous surprise. sabrinasmom |
I understand your pain. I have wooden floors and a little rug under my table, my little benny either pees on the pad or the carpet. AND if company comes he pees everywhere. =\ I try to keep a close eye on him, but sometimes he gets away. IS there an spray to get rid of the odor? so, he doesnt pee there again? |
