| well.. Here is how school went... Well last night was Baileys first night of Obed. school, I was so surprised by how he acted... He is usually feisty and can be aggressive,,, well we get there and he goes under my chair and wont come out... (AHHH) Other dogs were barking and yipping and he was like " what is this" and the trainer had a micr. on and her necklace would hit it now and then,, and it would sound like thunder then that would send him under the chair again,,, But, as for what we learned he did well it was pretty basic for the first night, and he knows all that.. we did Name recognition, come, down, and leave it. And when hes on a leash and you have a treat he'll do anything,,, so we'll see how next week goes.. Hopefully he wont be as scared! But thought I'd let ya know how it went.. at least he didnt pee or poop like some DID

| I'm sorry he was so scared but it sounds like he's going to be a fast learner! How fun!

| It sounds like Bailey did really well! Some dogs just take a bit longer to warm up to the crowd than others, so I bet next class will be better in regards to him hiding under the chair. I was the mom cleaning up the poo last night! Max was having some no-leash play time with a couple of girls (one slightly bigger than him & one smaller)...and decided it was time to take care of business. Lovely. Max has figured out the system, after 4 weeks of puppy-kindergarten, that he doesn't feel the need to do the work if there's no treat involved. So, now I carry treats in my pocket all the time. Ugghh...I really don't like smelling like liver treats, but he's doing much better.

You may want to start with a semi-private or even private lesson until your puppy gets used to the training facility. Then slowly increase the number of dogs he is exposed to until he's ready for a regular, full sized class. | |

| How old is Bailey? Went to a dog show today, it was great. They had an agility ring and a met a local trainer. Rudy is 17 months old and is a little toot. Talked with the trainer and she has a basic class starting May 11, so Rudy is enrolled. I was so amazed how well behaved these dogs are, there was different levels. I just stood there in ah. I just want Rudy to learn the basics and when I open the door not run out. My other two are well behaved, Rudy has a very strong will. Bailey sound like he did good, with all the new things he was exposed to. Keep us up to date on how he doing.
