male 1 yr vs. male 10 yr ( new yorkie)
 
ok so i have a male yorkie named max. he has been ours for 6 years he is 10 years old. we just got a new yorkie from a family friend named gibby. gibby is 1 year old we have had him for about a month now. we just got him fixed last friday. well the first few days everything was fine with them. about a week before we got him fixed, gibby ( full sized yorkie ) has been following max( tea cup) all over the house from the second he wakes up till we all go to bed. hes not trying to play hes more of trying to hump him. gibbs freeks out if max is out of his site ( sleeping under the covers at night ) he follows him around when max stops he sniffins/licks his ****. i have never seen this before. max has snapped and attacked him still gibbs will not let up. i have no idea what to do. i thought fixing him would help but so far its gotten worse. ( MAX is also fixed)

Hi and welcome to YT. This sounds like the new puppy is trying to dominate Max. Maybe having a trainer come out to the house to help teach you how to stop the behavior might help.

Yeah, I'm, in the same boat with my 6yr Biewer (14 lbs) who is a sweetheart and my 4 mo yorkie terrier who is three lbs. The infant wants to be dominant over my senior, so for now I have them separated. Occassionally the senior will come over to the kitchen which is blocked off and the baby will go nuts defending his territory. I am going to take them both to a trainer outside the home and try to get them together. My senior gets so stressed out because the infant is so hyper. I know time will make it better and eventually they will be best buds.

Give Max some alone time with you, for walks, pets, training etc. Then the same for the young male gibby. Then both on leads, take them for a walk.
Do training with each one on the walk.

Stop the humping behaviour in the same way you would any other undesirable behaviour. You can clap your hands - say NO - and when gibby desists reward the good behaviour. You can physically intercede by gently pushing gibby away from Max.

Humping is not always a sexual behaviour, it is often times, a dominant behaviour, ie the young male wants to dominate Max.

I have full males and a full female, I stop either male from butt sniffing her. A sniff or two is fine, beyond that, I intercede with either Enough, or No more - you're done.
