| I really do have to look more into Cesar Milan. I heard such great things about him and I am willing do do anything to become the pack leader. The question is "how"... I appreciate all the advice i've gotten so far and I will keep you all updated!

| Have you googled "resource guarding"? here are some links for you - with specific steps to take. I think you need to dedicate 2 weeks to NILF and make your dog pay attention to you. I'm doing NILF with my 7yo right now - our Yorkie recognizes everyone else in the family except the 7yo as "higher" than he is, so the whole family is doing NILF and she is the only one feeding him. He sits very well now. | Hey thanks for the links, I will check them out! Tonight when I gave him the bone I didn't touch him at all while he was chewing it and that seem to help a bit too! Unfortunately i've got a bit of a bug right now, so training isn't somthing i'm able to "push" with him...

| You need to show him "YOU" are the packleader. I know with one of my maltese, she would growl, snap and drew blood over food. I was being very patient with her since she was a rescue and wanted to give her some time to adjust but when the blood bite happened.......I knew I had to do something other than be patient. So I took her to the ground by the back of her neck, firmly holding her on her back and telling her now, bad ....... I didn't let her up until she was in total submission. I had to do that several times but after each time, she would come right to me between my legs for comfort and I ignored her. Then we worked at me keeping my finger in her bowl while she ate.......any growling was not acceptable and down on the ground she would go and the food removed. We would try again and now there is no issues. Now we are working on her not being possessive with her toys and teaching her to lay it in our hand once retrieved. It all takes time and patience but well worth the investment to have them turn around and be the sweet and loving dog they were meant to be. She has never bit anyone since and that was over eight months ago! YAY

| Yes I have been and let me just tell you the first couple of times he would cock his head to the side, raise his ears and walk away I WIN! then he started grwoling back. Now I think he's just confused. It works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. I don't give up easil (maybe that's where he gets it from) LOL

| LOL Try acting meaner sometimes. Maybe he needs a bigger "push" as to who's in charge.

| Yeah, maybe b/c I think it's "funny" he is sensing it. I think I do have to be "tougher".

| So I have to tell you how proud of Bailey I am tonight!!! I was hoding his bone for him and he didn't growl once AND he paused in the middle to leave the bone with me to get a drink of water. I let him chew for another minute or two and then told him ok time to get a drink a drink of water. Those are his words to "stop" and he STOPPED! He just stopped. He got up and went and got a drink of water. Something clicked in his little head!!!! I'm such a PROUD mama right now!!!! I know you guys will know how I feel so I had to share it with you! Now I have to work on the biting when we leave. I had to tackle the easier of the two first...LOL
