Agressive with treats
 
My female yorkie is getting pretty aggressive with treats. She zeros in when it's treat time and that is her only focus. She snags the other animals treats and is all over me for hers. How do I train her I "Wait" for it?

You will definately find some answers here. Sorry I don't have any info to give you because I'm going through the same thing. I actually am in the process of hiring a trainer to come to my home and work with her.

Having more than one makes it more difficult. I would work with her separately.
Sit on the floor with her and hold a treat in your hand. Tell her to leave it
and make sure she does. When she does give it to her and praise her.
Do this until you feel comfortable and then allow one other dog in the
session and work that way, of course giving both dogs treats. Her first
then her sibling. When your comfortable with that add another dog.
How many do you have?:p If she starts to take from the other's start again until she listen's.

We have 2 yorkies, one cocker spaniel and a cat. It's really funny because at bedtime, they all line up on the bed knowing it's treat time....even the cat! Lucy scarfs down hers, snags the cat's and poor Ian, who is very shy and skiddish anyway, has to be protected until he finishes his, which by the way, we have to break into small pieces for him because he acts like he doesn't know how to chew them. Anyway, all of the above makes for a stressful treat time.

I did start working with her last night about waiting, but she is so focused on the treat that I almost feel hopeless about it! She is such a little booger!!!:)

Our Mariah is the same way. I got some awesome advice here...to teach her to "leave it". She learned in minutes. I just put a treat on the floor and told her to "leave it". When she would go towards it I would say NO, LEAVE IT and didn't allow her to go near it. She caught on right away.

This works wonderfully for the treats and so many other things she is not suppose to have!
