"America's Cutest Puppies!" I think someone posted about it before, but I couldn't find it in a search... I'm taking Buddy to audition tomorrow morning for this show!! He just barely makes it into the age requirement (I emailed the producers and they are letting him in) - is anyone else going? They are doing other auditions in lots of other states...I am so excited!! I don't even care if he wins - it will just be fun to go and see all the PUPPIES :D Who else is going to take their baby? I think a Yorkie is a shoo-in to win! Just look at the requirements! http://kaosent.com/shows/puppies.html |
That looks like fun and I would definitely do it if mine were still pups |
Seems the producers forgot about Texas! Maybe they were afraid our pups would be too "BIG" like everything else here.:D |

They forgot Seattle, too! Gracie and I don't like to fly. She knows she is special, that is good enough for me!;) |
I might do it just for fun, let's see, he has a vet appt. on Tuesday so I have to see if he eligible. |
Thanks for sharing, and goodluck! Maybe Bentley and I will have to make the trip to audition in Chicago. |

Buddy is one of the "Top 5 Cutest!" 2 Attachment(s) Aw you guys are super sweet - I hope other people can make the auditions! We had a GREAT time at the audition - they held it at this great facility that had a wonderful grassy area that the dogs could play on in between. We made it to the first cut down to 10 dogs - and then TOTALLY to my surprise we made it to the top 5!! So we will be in the whole show (each audition is a full show - so there will be 10 and then the final competition). BUT - another ADORABLE Yorkie named Gizmo whose mom lives up in Rohnert Park won cutest puppy in san francisco! And genuinely, he was the cutest - at 5 months old he was a fuzzy little muffin and anyone could pick him up and he would totally love them - he was playful and just adorable, so I was very happy that he won! The two runners-up were a Golden mix that was a rescue - and adorable and sweet - and there was another dog Rocky who was a Bichon/Poodle mix who was very sweet and playful. Buddy did GREAT though! He had so much fun, he did his tricks and even "Bang Bang!" (played dead) which I just taught him 2 nights before! He high-fived with one of the judges so he should really look great on TV! He played with toys in front of the judges - the cameras didn't faze him at all! We had to do a ton of interviews after each elimination so it was tiring but lots of fun. Both of us totally passed out last night. It's tough to be a star! Hee heee! I love my Buddy so much and I'm so proud of him! I will keep bumping this up at each audition and hopefully more Yorkies will win! There were actually 4 Yorkies entered at first, but Buddy and Gizmo were the only ones who made it. The other 2 were very very teeny! Also a teeny little teacup chihuahua didn't make it. ANyway, sorry to go on and on - but it was lots of fun! OH - and I have these little "Doggles" for him, and everyone went absolutely nuts when I put them on him - he was so cute and he totally left them on! |
Oh so 2 more things - re: Seattle - there were actually some people there that had this great dog Lucy and they drove down from Oregon for it! 2 - if you *do* go - be prepared for a long day! I thought I would be out of there in a few hours - but if you do make the cuts you're there until 6 or 7pm! And you have to be there at 8am! We were ALL exhausted and pups were sleeping during most of the "elimination" parts! Can't wait to see what it looks like on TV (not until March  ) OK that's it I think :-) |

Wow! Great job! Good luck! I couldn't be a judge.....I would have to pick them all! hee,hee |
hee hee "ilovelouie" I like your congratulations chorus line - too funny! and re: the judges - it was an interesting mix - it was a woman who is a dog trainer, a man that won the trolley car bell ringing contest (??)(for "local flavor" they said) and another woman who is an AKC "associate" judge. |
