Paris: Always in my ♥ Donating YT Member | Paris threw up the first time I took him riding! He was watching the sidewalk cracks go by and got a bit dizzy. |

| Looks like a great idea. I'm going to try this. I would just be worried if the bike falls over with the dog tethered to the basket/ trailer/ etc |

| Thats how I walk ( well run) my yorkies. We live far out in the country and the dogs and I go for an afternoon bike ride most days. I ride, they run alongside for about a mile or so. Then we swing back by the house and they stay at the house as i complete the 4 mile ride. |

| Yorkie in a basket! I agree with the other posters; the bike baskets are great. My Graysee took a little while to get used to SITTING in the basket, but once she got the idea she enjoyed the ride. I had to place a thick towel in the bottom of the basket so Graysee would feel a little more stable, as she is a relatively "heavy" 11 pounds. And my "basket" is a Snoozer, also, and it has a place to attach Graysee's harness. I NEVER attach a leash, or secure straps, to her collar, ONLY to a body harness. That way, as others have mentioned, she can be lifted up out of harm's way without strangling her! |

Donating YT 3000 Club Member | I had to share. I found this basket. It holds up to 20-25 lbs. If you want a cover. Peterboro Basket Company | Peterboro Basket Company - Peterboro Pet Carrier with Leather Handle If not there is a x large regular basket. I have this one. My crazy sister bought it for me. Peterboro Basket Company | Peterboro Original Extra Large Bicycle Basket They are all handmade in NH. I got to say wow they are wonderful. |

| Just took J Gatsby for a ride... Took Mr Gatsby for a couple loops around Mackinac Island and he did great. We rented the bikes, and they had baskets available for no charge. They cut a carpet remanent down to fit in the bottom of the metal basket and I secured him well using his harness and leash, securing it to the basket. Although there IS some risk involved, we were only going on the paved bike path around the island and on the road (no cars are allowed on the island). He did try and climb out once, but by securing him he could only stand up on his back legs but he could not get out. After he figured out he could not get out, he settled down well, and I think he enjoyed the ride! I posted a picture of us after the ride with a couple of his human cousins... http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/pic...ctureid=121064 |

Yorkie Yakker | Hazel loves her bike rides! The best part is I found her basket at Big Lots for $15.00 ~ Four Paws Deluxe Pet Basket. The basket is made out of black electroplated heavy duty wire and has a removable canvas/fleece liner. The inside of the cushion is very cozy and the outside works like a reflector, neon orange. It also has a mini leash and I always strap her in for safety. Also, we never go too fast because she hides inside the basket if the wind is too much on her face. She is so freaking cute! |

| Here is Susie in a rear basket, she is tethered in though, she used to sit in a basket on the front but she used to stand up and the wind got in her eyes so I stopped doing that and now use the basket for shopping, she loves coming riding with me and she is always wrapped up warm as she feels the cold anyway being so small and she is just sitting there!! Still with me even though the vet wrote her off and only gave her 4. to 6 months to live last August!! |

| of everything I have seen posted for the front of your bike, I have the best one The only problem is I can not find it on line anymore so it must be discontinued. To me you need a basket with a little height so the dog does not bounce out easily and have a cage on the top or at least a way to tether the dog in. That basket on the front with the heavy top looks to closed in to be fun for the dog and having your dog in a front sling seems dangerous and uncomfortable. I often let Lola bring a toy which she happily squeaks for the first half hour perhaps that would help so the dog does not focus on the cracks. Lola seems to love it. Here is a picture with Kirby, my last dog

| I am going on a cruise next month and have been riding my bike everyday to get prepared for a swimsuit. Bevo LOVES to go riding! I will have to get a pic posted! My bike had a small basket when I bought it. Its just the right size for him to sit in. i do harness him in and he wears his doggles to keep bugs from smacking him in his eyes! He gets so excited every evening when its time to go!
