| Toy Suggestions for Puppies? Thought that I would ask if anyone know or has any suggestions about toys that would be good for a new puppy? We have two yorkies already and they love their Nylabones and their Kongs but I am interested in what your pups love and what I should be looking for for our newest boy.

| Bumping! I would love to see the answers to your question. We bring our little fur butt home in a couple weeks and I was wondering what toys I should go out and buy.

| Toys for Babies I love the Material Dog toys. There is a chipmunk, squirell, frog, and my favorite - the Teddy Bear. They come in several sizes and I frequently send a puppy buyer home with the Teddy Bear. The smallest size is great for a new Yorkie and they come with an extra squeaker. They even sell a 3 squeaker pack. The toy has a velcro closure where the squeaker goes in. You can machine wash and dry them, too. Mr. Right found one of the chipmunks that had been caught by the lawn mower and cut in half. It is a bit disconcerting to see him walking around with that chipmunk head in his mouth!

I definitely have to second these!! Sophie loves her teddy bear! She walks around squeaking it all the time. I also recommend any other Kong product (which is who makes these stuffed animals). I bought Sophie the puppy kong that looks like the original Kong as well as the puppy bone that has places for treats on the ends. She LOVES them. We also have the Kong Snugga Wubba that she likes, too. But I will warn you that the snugga wubba can get torn up easily if your furbaby is a chewer! You have to supervise them with it definitely! But Kong makes the best products by far! | |

| Thanks Thanks I will have to look around for some of those squeekys, I also heard good things about puppy stages or something, so I will be looking for those too, I like the Kongs because they have to work to get them and I would like to find more toys that are puzzlers for them.

| Rily loves his kong and nylabone. He also likes baby toys that rattle better than squeaky toys.

| I just got the I-Qube, which is a cloth cube that four squeaky balls fit in. Buster LOVES it, and it's his new favorite game. Bailey takes no interest in it, but it has been a good addition to the toy collection for Buster. Bailey's favorite are toy ropes. They also like Busy Buddy items, we got those at a local animal supplies store. Oh - and plastic water/pop bottles (under supervision) & also ice cubes. I got the I-Qube at Petguys.com (among other things like the hide-a-squirrel, but they don't really like that one) - check their Interactive toys out - they have lower prices than almost anywhere I've seen & also have good discounts on kong fillers in the treats section. IQube: Kyjen IQube Puzzle Plush Dog Toy Junior. Happy shopping!

| Um, here's what not to get Those puzzle toys are fantastic, but not for teething puppies. Mine ripped up the squirrels in a couple of hours. I wouldn't get any toys w/stuffing either, of course it depends on the puppy. Some are strong chewers & some are not. The Skineeez are great. So is Cuz, but my strong chewer managed to chew part of the feet off. I got him elk antlers.

| Try the baby section in addition to the pet section. I like to buy baby teething toys. They are usually better made. I pick the ones with rubbery places to teethe and chew. My pups also like the ones that rattle like cellaphane. BTW -- the baby toys are usually cheaper than the pet toys too. Bonus! Stay away from any of the teethers with gel or water inside, of course, as sharp puppy teeth can puncture.
