| Snopes.com says it's not, here is the link. Snopes.com investigates all the junk that gets passed around in emails. http://www.snopes.com/critters/crusader/swiffer.asp

| I have to say, I'm not a huge fan of Nature's Miracle either...just because they claim to even get up old odors. When we bought this house, there was one particular place that the cat and dog (neither had previously had a problem.) We used Natures Miracle...Followed the directions exactly and locked the room so no pets could get in......As soon as we allowed them back in, they both went to exactly the same spot... We had concrete floors under the carpet and padding and needed to get all of the carpets up anyway, so we pulled up the carpet...and well it was AWEFUL.... Kilz took care of it.. That was what the local building folks recommended... And then we put down different flooring... I guess the people who lived here before us had the animal in question trapped in that one spot... UGH.. I still cant stand to think about it. BTW...I used two gallons total of the stuff on that one 2 square ft section...Over the course of a week... Bren

| I heard about a year or so ago how bad these swifters are if you have dogs inside. So therefore i tell everyone I can who has dogs about how they can kill your furbaby. |

| I have the less expensive brand (I think it is called readymop) and used it a lot to mop my tile flooring in the laundry room. However, since I got Tiger, I dumped the chemical contents and poured the petenzyme cleaner in it . . . I'd hate to throw away a good tool! For those weekly general cleaning, I rely on water and vinegar. |

I am ONLY saying this because it might help you: since chloride is not an ingredient in the Swiffer, you should check around to see if there could possibly be anything else in your home with chloride in it so that it never happens again.

http://urbanlegends.about.com/librar...fer_wetjet.htm I think this may be a duplicate posting, but I like this link because it also has info from the ASPCA.

| I hope your baby feels better. Chloryde is actually not an ingredient in swiffer so keep your eyes out for anything else it could be. Hopefully the poor baby will feel better soon.

| Here are the ingrediants in the swiffer wet jet. I don't see anywhere where it lists the chemicals they found in your babys blood. It also shows they're percentages. These are facts not opinions, We're just trying to help. Sorry if any of it offends you, it's not meant to be that way. I hope your baby gets well soon. Water (90% - 100%) Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether (1% - 4%) Isopropyl Alcohol (1% - 4%) Minor Ingredients (< 1%) Preservatives (< 0.1%)

| That's not the ingredients. Swiffer WetJet contains the following ingredients: Water (90% - 100%) Propylene Glycol n-Propyl Ether (1% - 4%) Isopropyl Alcohol (1% - 4%) Preservatives (< 0.1%) Please try to figure out which product has chloride. could it be part of your flooring/subflooring by any chance?

| Ok I'm looking at my bottle of swiffer wet jet (antibacterial cleaner) On the front it lists this: Active Ingrediants: didecyl Dimethyl Ammonium Chloride........0.03% Chlorhiexidine Diacetate........................0.01% Other Ingrediants.................................99.96% KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN ON THE SIDE OF THE BOTTLE IT ALSO SAYS THIS CONTAINS NO PHOSPATE, CHLORINE,BLEACH OR AMMONIA. No where on the bottle does it say to keep it from Pets. It just says to keep from small children and lists the hazards to humans. Yes, it does list what your vet found in your pups blood BUT and that's a BIG BUT it's such a small dosage I highly doubt it would have any real affect on your pet unless your pup consumed a very large amount. But then again your baby is in the hospital, so let this be a warning to all of us.
