Anyone in the East Bay / NORCAL AREA? Looking to make some new friends with Maximus now that we are in California....I would love for him to have some new doggie friends since he is always stuck with "the humans"...lol!! |
I'm right up the street from you!!! I have 3 girls that love to play :D AND there is a yorkie meetup June 17th in Danville :D |
Oh yay...lol!! so where do you live? Im in San Ramon but I work in walnut creek...we don't know that many other yorkie owners! |
Not far from you either... Hi neighbor!! |
I'm pretty close too. An hour or so...but worth the drive for a meet up. I get my new Biewer pup on the 15th so if she is up for the drive we will be there. I know Bella would LOVE it. Where in Danville?? |
Count me in :wavey: ... My SweetPea hasn't seen another yorkie since she left her breeder's home in Louisiana last May 9. She really needs to socialize! I am from Vallejo. Let us all go to the meet-up on the 17th. What are the details? |
It's the meet-up from the East Bay YT. I just joined yesterday http://yorkie.meetup.com/306/?a=wm1_mem3 Have you been to one before? I saw Sweet Peas cute little picture on there. I am really going to try and make it. I get my new puppy the 15th and it's a 1 1/2 hr drive for me....so we'll see:p |
Lets do it! Here is the link.... I highly recommend signing up on meetup.com and you can join different areas and search wherever...its pretty cool :D The SF one is awesome because there are soooo many yorkies!! But I say lets try to grow the Eastbay one and show up on the 17th! http://yorkie.meetup.com/306/calendar/5787418/ |

You know what they say about great minds;) If I go to one I'm thinking the 17th. BUT like I posted I will have just picked up Izzie the day before...she may not be ready to meet a bunch of new people and furbabies. I don't know her personality yet. That is one reason the South Bay sounds good the next weekend. Is anyone going to both??? |
:D I haven't signed up for the southbay one - I may be out of town that weekend, but still not sure? You do have a long drive! If you do go and if you have one of those front pouch carriers, I would maybe keep your new baby in there, close to you? Especially if she hasn't had all her shots yet. Quote:

Your right..I didn't even think of the shots:confused: I think I'm going to have to wait until a later month. Another thing...I fly down to so cal to pick her up. So she will be in a new home and have a plane ride, and she also has an appt at the vet on that Sat. WOW I think I am going to have to wait...even I wouldn't be up to it after all of that. I am disapointed because I was really looking forward to meeting some of you. Are you going to the meet up in 2008? |
Too bad that Izzi cannot join us, you are right, gotta have those shots first.... but you still can come! :D Oh, My SweetPea will be so please to play with all your babies, and I soooo look forward to meeting you all!!!!:) DO you want me to bring anything (for us humans, that is:D )? |
maybe next year there will be a show and a meet up at about the same time for the biewers.... |
Maybe we can try for Sept during that show. Are you coming to that one?? IABCA show Sept 22/23 in Antioch... |
What is near to Antioch? I'm not sure where it is. |
It's north ...close to Walnut Creek http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...tioch&state=CA I haven't been there, but I like Walnut Creek. |
Is Walnut Creek N. or S. of San Francisco?? I'm map challenged at the moment. |

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp...tioch&state=CA Closer to Oakland than SF. OOOpps I quoted to wrong one. Click the link and then make it farther away by clicking the - sign on the left. |
It a long drive but if you come down here for the Whittier Narrow Show; I'll make every effort to go up there. |
Dee. Tell me the dates again on that show... also where exactly is it. I'm assuming that is the show at the end of Aug. Can I bring my little Yorkie with me? I think if I do come to that show I will just have you (and a judge if possible) take a look at her and see if she is even a show prospect. Sounds exciting...is we come maybe I can even get Debbie to come(?) |

The show is August 25 & 26th at Whittier Narrows Park. You can bring any dog you want to the show. I like the IABCA shows because the judges really do a good job telling you their opinions. I always love meeting the owners and their puppies. I can tell you about the area, hotels and restaurants if you email me through the website. |
Thanks Dee....I have the date on my calendar (my brain). I will contact you on your email about location, etc. Can I bring my other baby if I don't show her? If someone comes with me to watch her?? I hate to leave her. |
Absolutely bring her and the stroller; there is enough of us along with friends, significant others, husbands, etc. to guard the animals and the perimeter so our dogs, and belongings are safe. Need to bring one of those portable chairs too. |
I know...I should just email you. I was wondering if I need to register Izzie with IABCA to show her in their shows. I have an Xpen, a ground cover, I don't have a stroller (I want to find out which one Des has) but I just ordered a Celltei backpack to fit them both. We are at horse shows alot and I thought that would be easier than a stroller. Debbie sent me more pics...check out the picture thread under 'New pictures of Izzie' |
You do need to pre-register to enter the dog shows; sometimes they don't take day of show entrys. Email me any time. |
So, I don't need to be a member of IABCA, I just need to fill out the entry form?? I know I am a little slow at this:confused: |
