HI there everyone my name is Courtney and I am new to this site.I just got my first yorkie who i have named Todd.He is a adorable little guy with a face of a teddy bear who i love to death He is 4 months old and already weighs 6 pounds. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how much bigger they think he will get? His parents are both 5 & 6 lbs so i dont know why he is so big . He is full yorkie. p.s Dont mind the picture of him in a dress. I came home to him looking like this. My little sister had dressed him up like a girl haha |

| Congratulations on your adorable little baby!! He is indeed precious! As far as how big he will get, that is hard to accurately predict...we have growth charts and formulas that allow us educated guesses....but when it gets down to it, how big your baby will be depends on what dogs are behind his momma and daddy in his pedigree! If he has a great-great-great-great-grandma that had large babies, then he could very well be a "throwback" to her! I had a breeding pair (4#, 5.5#)that NEVER threw large babies...then, all of a sudden, I ended up with 3 babies that matured to two five pounders, and one 5.5 pounder....and WHAM!!! God showed me who is really in control of this breeding stuff! I ended up with a puppy that went back to a line 22 generations behind this breeding pair, and he matured to over 10 lbs!.......He is adorable, and such a sweetheart, and he lives with a precious little girl that treasures him! So, just love your Toby with all your heart, regardless of how much puppy you end up with, because that is how he loves you! Welcome to the wonderful world of Yorkies....you will never look back! |
