NJ People Looking For A Yorkie. Warning please read. Hi guys. I know that there were a couple of people here from Jersey, looking for a Yorkie. The local Asbury Park Press classifieds has a woman from Howell advertising Yorkies and Yorkie Poos with a number starting with 732-370. PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM HER!! She is no more than a puppymill. She has numerous complaints, and her dogs are kept in filthy conditions. Not to mention that in some instances she buys from the Amish and sells them as her own. Most will come to you sick and all will be much bigger then the standard. I have two that came from her. My oldest is ten years old and he has a collapsing trachea and bad hips and is on the neurotic side plus weighs in at 12 pounds. My two year old was sold as a Yorkie with papers and turned out to be a Yorkie Poo who weighs in at 16 pounds. Our vet also believes she was beaten. Her Yorkies are sold fairly cheap so it attracts buyers but please please do not buy from her.

Oh my gosh... I wish laws for animal abuse were much more effective to stop and punish people like this, pure evil and sick.

Redvette. It's hard to prove, since Noel can't tell us. However, when we brought her home, she coward in a corner and dropped submissivly anytime you brought your hand over to pet her. She was especially, terrified of men. She would not go near my husband for six months and would hide and shake anytime anyone new came to visit. She's been with us now for two years and is doing 100 percent better. She is still very timid around strangers, cautious if you will. She will not go to anyone but our immediate family, my husband (Who she now loves) my two sons and myself. Still very cautious even around my parents who are here all the time. Will go to them but very cautiously. She doesn't have a mean bone in her body, very very submissive BUT if you play fight with the boys (learned this the hard way) she will grab you. Very protective of the boys. You cannot move quickly by them or she'll bite to protect them. She's fine with kids play fighting w/ kids but adults are not allowed to go to quickly towards the kids. Our vet said that since this was instilled in her at such a young age that she will always have this streak to her. Again, she has come a lot further then ever expected and although not the Yorkie the papers state she is, she is the best, most loving and well behaved dog you could hope for. Elaine

I can't understand how people like this just keep going. Our laws need some very serious updating! It breaks my heart when I hear that a pup has been abused. There is nothing more heart renching than to see a dog be submissive thinking he is going to get hit. It tears my heart out. I got so mad at Buddy, when he was a puppy, he ate the skirt on my couch, that he did the submissive thing looking at me with those beautiful brown eyes I then realized I scared the hell out of him and I only yelled! Needless to say I never did it again and he never ate the skirt on the couch again. They are so helpless. Carol & Buddy

| Can these people not be sued for false advertising plus abuse. On cable the animal cop shows are the best. They need them in every state to shut down people like this.
