| I am going out on a limb here to say this but here goes....this surely sounds as if we are either being baited by someone who rreally knows what how to do that OR a kid whose parents do not know that these posts are being made. This puppy is still a puppy as toys do not mature til well past a year. She is in her first heat, she is small, she is young, she is living with an owner who is ill-prepared to take care of the puppy they already have. I am aghast at the thought of newborn puppies being cared for by such inexperienced, unprepared owners. The mere fact that they listened to someone who sold them a male and, then, didn't go further in the process of educating themselves about preventing OOPS! pregnancy is a red flag. Then, being happy about the pregnancy (I am assuming that the "YAY" at the beginning of the message meant happiness) is another red flag. This female from the descriptions, is small and a supposedly LOVED family pet. How many times have we read about the loss of a family pet because of a pregnancy that the dog was not old enough, large enough and mature enough to whelp even in the hands of an experienced breeder, who BTW, would not have let this pregnancy (it there is one) continue this far. Something about this whole thing just does not ring tue. I hope that someone reads this message and passes it on to Mag16 before it gets deleted, if it does... I would feel we responsible breeders would have dropped the ball if I had not said these things..Maybe it is too late for this pregnancy but maybe it will make them think before allowing her to be bred again... |

You really need to get your story straight if you want help from the people on here. It would probably also be helpful if you could lose some of the flip attitude you are presenting regarding this situation. People on this forum care very deeply for the health and well-being of yorkies and would be more than glad to help you out as best they can. There is nothing funny about a 3 1/2 lb very young female being pregnant.

No matter the breeds of dog or cat , when there is a pregnancy , there is always the risks for the mother to be just like as in humans . I work in a vet clinic and recently , a C-section have been done for a female cat . No ones can really predict how birth will turn out .

I'm going to get a bottle of wine, my head is already spinning here so what the heck! I would like to say that I do wish your little one the best. That's the main objective. What's done is done, it's just frustrating for me...I could never be so non-shalant about something like this. Hope she does okay. Last edited by yorkiemom1970; 03-03-2006 at 12:44 PM.
